Northern Wine School is an Approved Programme Provider (APP) for WSET Global whose wines and spirits qualifications are THE GOLD standard Awards worldwide. A full range of courses are run regularlarly in Manchester and The North West by John Callow DipWSET, who has the WSET flagship Diploma Award.

Wine (and Spirits) lovers can enjoy our many very popular ticketed Manchester Wine Tasting events. These include Wine and Cheese Tasting, Food and Wine Matching and Sparkling Wine Evenings. Those new to wine tasting can start their journey with our Discovery Course. This a great introduction to their wine tasting adventure. During the year we showcase the major wine producing regions of the world at our fun, laid back events.

John Callow DipWSET cut his Wine Tasting teeth with one of the country's leadind wine merchants. After gaining his WSET level three award with them he realised his heart lay in encouraging the public to get to know more about wine in an enjoyable setting. That's when Northern Wine School was "born".

After a gruelling two years of further study, John achieved the coveted Diploma from WSET. This is the Flagship Award from The Wine and Spirit Education Trust and the achievment is recognised throughout the world.
