These are con men. Avoid at all costs. After coming round for my initial consultation (2. 5 hours late), and claiming to have fixed the problem, the repairman tried to extort me by saying £70 + VAT came to £100. After correcting him, he said he only accepted cash and left claiming he'd email the receipt, which he never did. The problem had not been fixed, so I called up for the repairman to come again, as is part of the service. It took them 16 weeks to acknowledge this request and come again, at which point the repairman found the problem (or so he said). He claimed he needed to enquire about sourcing the new part, so left after trying to take another £70 (although this should have been included as part of the initial failed appointment). 4 weeks later and I've finally been able to get in touch with the company. On the 4 minute call they claimed I (a) never hired them, (b) never paid and (c) had my problem fixed. The second I made a point that I was unimpressed with their service I got the reply, "well go find another company, good bye" and they hung up. This is an absolute farce and I'll be reporting the company for malpractice. As mentioned, avoid at all costs. Hopefully this company will be reprimanded, and the people in charge imprisoned as I'm sure they've stolen money off many more people….Moreexpand_more
I had no problem with them, quick and reliable. Great service was able to sort out the problem with my cooker straight away. The engineer changed the grill element and replaced the oven door hinges. Very prompt, efficient service. Well satisfied and would use this service again and recommend it to others.
Not experts in washer/dryer repair - I had 4 visits from 2 different engineers, they replaced a part that wasn't faulty and eventually declared the problem unfixable, but charged me anyway and refuse to give a full refund. They claim to be Neff certified engineers, but Neff confirmed that there's no such thing. I called another company and they found the problem in 10 minutes.
The booking on the website was easy and the engineer came on the next day even earlier than the time slot. That is fine but he only come with bag of hand tools and no diagnostic equipment of any sort. The fridge was working but did not cool. The engineer was just observing visually and making a guess of what can be wrong. First he give me a scary though that is probably the most expensive part it will cost me more than a new fridge. Then he replaced a cheaper part , took my money and recommend to wait for two hour to cool. It did not work! When I called him after this two hours , the answer was that nothing can be done and I need to buy a new one. What a waste of money!
I was initially very satisfied with this company- they fixed my oven promptly and at a convenient time. However, I have been very disappointed with them since and as such would not recommend using them. All I needed from the company was confirmation of the part that was replaced so I could take it up with the oven manufacturers. About 20 phone calls to North London Appliance repair, including being hung up on, plus several emails and promises for the manager to call me back. I am still waiting. Such a shame as they seemed good but the after care has been the worst I have ever experienced.
Had my fridge freezer repaired by them. Accurate diagnosis, prompt attendance completion with explanation of the problem. The fridge compressor was faulty and he diagnosed and replace it same time. I will happily recommend them to friends and family and will use again in the future.
This is probably the worst company I have had the misfortune to deal with. Lied to over several weeks and eventually the unfixed oven was simply dumped back. It is now beyond repair and no one will touch it after North London Appliance Repairs damaged it. Days leave taken, no shows, money wasted and lied to. This lot should be reported to the police.
Just a note to say thanks to everyone at NLAR for the outstanding repair service I received. They repaired my Bosch dishwasher same day I called for an appointment. The engineer was friendly and courteous and he charged what he said he would charge. Great price! Great service! No headache!
