We transfer and restore old 16mm and 8mm movie film. Film is transferred using a system that does not mechanically pull the film by its sprockets so is very gentle on old and fragile films. Each film is checked for bad splices before transfer and a special chemical is used to help reduce dirt and scratches. As standard, flicker reduction and stabilisation is included to improve the quality of the finished transfer.

We can also transfer Polavision vision films although we will have to remove the film from the cassette which is a non reversible process.

We also transfer video tape including VHS, S-VHS, Mini DV and 8mm video. Each tape is actually monitored as it plays to ensure that there are no problems.

In addition to transfer of media, we can also apply some restoration to films and tapes using industry standard restoration software.

We also use DaVinci Resolve with a micro control panel for our colour correction and editing.
