As a Qualified licensed Child Therapist, and NLP Practitioner based in Newcastle upon Tyne, I work with children and young people to promote positive mental health throughout their lifespans. I am passionate about supporting children from a young age to prevent emotional difficulties from taking root. As an NLP therapist, I work directly with children and young people both individually and in groups. I also work directly with parents as a parenting coach.

I am an experienced child care professional who has worked for over 20 years with children who have experienced trauma. My background is as a qualified social worker specialising in children’s social work, systemic social work, and therapeutic support for families. My passion is working with children and families to promote positive mental health through the lifespan.

NLP4kids therapy techniques have been adapted from proven NLP techniques to work brilliantly with younger people. This makes the sessions fun and engaging. We don't spend time dwelling on the problem; as soon as we know what the problem is, we immediately begin to focus on the solution instead.

NLP is fast-working and effective, so typically you are need fewer sessions than you would with traditional counselling or psychotherapy. Most problems can be dealt with in 4-8 sessions, sometimes even less if the problem is quite specific.

We use practical, interactive techniques so that when the work is finished the child has developed an internal tool-kit full of ways to manage their own emotions. This is why NLP therapy is really beneficial to promote long term, even life long, change.

Monday 9:30am-8pm.
Tuesday 9:30am-3:00pm.
Wednesday  9:30am to 8pm.
Thursday 9:30am-3:00pm.

There may be some flexibility outside of these hours, particularly for zoom appointments. Please call to discuss your needs.

I predominantly work from therapy rooms in central Gosforth, Newcastle. The rooms are located within Urban Angels Therapy Centre and offer a calm and peaceful environment for you and your child.

Often children will feel less anxious about coming to a new place if they have some idea what to expect. There are pictures below to share with your child.

I may able to undertake sessions with your child in school within the wider Newcastle area subject to agreement from the school.

It may be appropriate to undertake parenting sessions within your home if this is within the Newcastle area. This will depend on individual circumstances and availability.
