Nicholas Martin Kitchens and Home Improvements

November, 2013: Turned our nightmare into a dream come true! Frank and Nicky Martin have just completed installing a Crown Imperial Kitchen and other building works at our home. Back in April, we suffered a significant kitchen fire and didn't know where to turn to resolve the problems we faced. We needed a new kitchen, new plastering, new ceiling, new doors, new lighting and new flooring in 3 adjoining rooms. We wearily shopped around. Looking at many of the big kitchen supply shops, whose glossy brochures promised perfection, but our solution was Frank and Nicky (father and son team). They're a winning combination of high standards of work, experience, skill and good ideas and common sense. I have found them friendly, entirely reliable, trustworthy true professionals. Their attention to detail and standard of care and workmanship is second to none. They don't cut corners! And are open and honest if they encounter any problems. They've kept us advised every step of the way - co-ordinating all the necessary works without any fuss. They turned up on time, taken absolute care when working in our home and have shown us nothing but respect. Frank always listened patiently and with the benefit of his experience has worked with us to achieve just what we wanted. Nothing has been too much trouble. They have made changes along the way to satisfy our whims. For example, Frank and Nicky painstakingly modified a kitchen unit as we felt it was too close to the kitchen sink. Frank and Nicky did this with great care making sure that the finished cabinet looks in perfect symmetry with the rest of the kitchen. They also took great care and skill in making sure that all the areas of conjoined laminate floor looks right and is carefully aligned. Overall, Frank and Nicky really care about customer satisfaction and take obvious pride in their work managing to implement practical solutions to keep us happy and on budget. The result:- they’ve delivered a job we are delighted with on time and on budget. In short, I'm thrilled with my kitchen and other building work. This is the second kitchen Nicholas Martin has fitted for us. The first was several years ago now, which he made such a wonderful job off that when we bought our new house there was no question as to who to ask. Nick made the whole process of transforming a derelict shell into a beautiful working kitchen a pleasure. He managed everything from the design to the decoration and tiles and organising the plumber and the electrian. Everything happened just as he said it would with no unexpected complications or problems. The care and the pride he took with the job making sure that every detail was perfect was amazing. I would recommend Nicholas Martin Kitchens to anyone as would several members of my familly who have also had their kitchen fitted by Nick. We were also very pleased with the price and would have expected to pay an awful lot more for the quality of kitchen, the level of customer care and the skilled workmanship Nicholas Martin provided.

Fantastic father and son team. Very friendly and reliable felt very comfortable leaving them in my home while i was at work always clean and tidy when they had finished work for the day. They did an excellent job on my bathroom putting a false ceiling in and boxing all the pipes in which made a very handy shelf behind my sink the finishing touches were brilliant my bathroom now is an oasis. Frank and Nick totally designed my kitchen when I purchased my house. They offered me quality advice and were very honest on any ideas that would or would not work. They are extremely professional and reliable which put me at ease at a very stressful time. They also did the tiling around the work surfaces which is of a very high standard. I was extremely pleased with my kitchen that I used N&F to lay flooring and extend my loft hatch. Everything completed was within budget with no hidden expenses. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick and Frank to family and friends. A very professional partnership.

We were needing new doors to be fitted in our kitchen, to match in with the rest of it that we had fitted several years ago. F & N came to look and price the work we required and after a short space of time, the kitchen looked complete with our new doors that married up well matching the rest and at a great price too! Their workmanship has flair and quality and I would certainly call upon them again for any future works that is required. It is great to see that this day and age you can still have work done by professionals and not by chancers!

The two previous reviews pretty much reflect our thoughts but we would like to add that Nick offered very sensible solutions to our many questions and was very accomodating when asked to do extra tasks. Two years later our kitchen still looks as good as new and we take great pleasure from it. We would certainly use Frank and Nick again without hesitation.

After a disastrous encounter with a cowboy kitchen fitter I was in desperate need of another kitchen fitter to rectify my kitchen. I was given Frank & Nicks details and they were sympathetic with the situation I had been left in and agreed to refit my kitchen units, worktop,flooring and appliances at a reasonable cost to myself. They were friendly yet professional, punctual and reliable. I cannot stress how excellent they were and if I need any further work doing they will definitely be my first port of call. Could not fault them in any way !

F & N Martin recently completed major alterations in both kitchen and dining room at our property and were thoroughly excellent in all aspects of their work. They are polite friendly guys who immediately put you at ease. They offered a complete project management service, carrying out the majority of the work themselves and arranging specialists where necessary from their own database of tried and tested contractors. They offered practical understandable advice on design solutions and as regards products were equally happy to help in sourcing what was required. As an Architect for me what was most impressive was their attention to detail. They took great care to ensure we happy with the quality and progress of the work which we were. They have the skills and technique of traditional craftsmen yet work quickly and economically. In addition they were 100% reliable - they were always on site when they said they would be and left the house very clean and tidy after each days work. I will definitely be using F and N Martin again in the future and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to others.Moreexpand_more
