About Newcastle Counselling
At Newcastle Counselling I help adults, especially people who have received a late diagnosis of autism or ADHD, to deal with the stress and distress that is preventing them from getting the most out of life.
I help people recognise and build on their strengths, to overcome challenges they face by using counselling and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as tapping).
I, myself, was late diagnosed autistic and an ADHD-er in my late forties. I am very familiar with the difficulties someone may face in navigating a world better suited to neurotypical people. Each person experiences the world from their own unique perspective and I believe in the adage that "once you have met one autistic person, you have met one autistic person! "
I tailor sessions to your needs. I do not believe in a 'one size fits all approach'. I am also comfortable with creating an environment as comfortable as it can be, for example movement breaks, dimming lighting and fidget toys. In fact, I wear precision tinted glasses to make my vision more comfortable.
I offer online and in person sessions. Please contact me to see how I can help.
