About Nessa's Childminding Services
Nessa's was established in 1993, and is run by Vanessa and Mark from their home in Birkenhead, Wirral. It is an Ofsted registered childminding service, and a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years. Vanessa has an NVQ3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, and certificates in Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection Awareness, the Language of Baby, Birth to Three Matters, the Early Years Foundation Stage, Food Hygiene, and Health and Safety.
Nessa's provide the best possible service by ensuring that, through play and activity sessions, all children have fun whilst learning something new each day. Activities include, arts and crafts, role-play, toys and games, outdoor play equipment, and a wide range of books and toys are available for all ages, gender and cultural groups. They are only minutes away from some excellent recreational facilities including, Birkenhead Park, Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm, Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead Library, and toddler groups. Occasional visits to Chester Zoo and Liverpool Museum are also arranged.
Nessa's understand that parents can be a little anxious about leaving their children for several hours a day, so they made the decision to have webcams installed in both the indoor and outdoor play areas.
Parents can now enjoy peace of mind while keeping a virtual eye on their children directly from their pc, tablet or smartphone. The camera is in operation throughout the day, and a password will be provided for access to the images. Parents are, of course, welcome to phone or drop in at any time.
Children's needs and welfare are of utmost importance, and Nessa's Childminding Services endeavour to provide activities and learning experiences that help stimulate their emotional, physical, social and intellectual development. They support and build upon what children learn at home and school, and keep parents informed about their child's progress.
Nessa's actively promote equal opportunities. Each child is treated as an individual, with equal concern and given equal chance to learn and develop. They take into account each child's age, stage of development, sex, ethnic origin, and disabilities. Children are encouraged to develop a sense of their own identity and culture, and helped to develop positive attitudes towards people who are different from themselves.
