Neate Crafts is a one woman award winning business designing and creating quality, original Art and Craft items, Trained as a Fine Artist in Cheltenham, worked as a designer at an Elizabethan Manor House, Bramall Hall, Cheshire then came to Cumbria where she worked as Artist-in-Residence at Muncaster Castle for a few years before moving to the Seascale and setting up her own online business Neate Crafts.

Susan works in many mediums including pencil, pastel, watercolour, acrylic and more. Loves any subject especially flora and fauna, buildings, landscapes, seascapes, people, pets, still life, in fact almost any subject holds an interest for her and being in Cumbria is certainly conducive to this.

As well as original artwork including commissions Susan produces prints and design and create many crafts including Jewellery, Pyrography ( wood-burning), knitting, Scrumbling ( free form crochet), Verre Eglomise ( ancient art of creating an image by gilding on glass ) plus lots more.

Bespoke orders are the main speciality of the business suiting any size of budget. Trade and wholesale orders are welcome.

Bespoke, unique quality gift and craft items are a speciality.

They range from original Paintings, Cards, Prints, Pyrography ( wood burning also known as poker work) decorated wooden items, Signs, Patchwork Quilts, Hand sewn items ( No machines involved) ranging from padded coat hangers, bunting, wicker basket liners and much more Hand-painted fabric items, Interior Design and accessories, Silk Painting, Jewellery, Verre Eglomise ( ancient art of gilding on glass and creating an image), Scrumbling ( free form crochet), Hand-knitted items and lots more designed and created.
Produces what the client requires, to suit any budget and no order is too large or too small.

Neate Crafts is run by Susan Neate who lives in Cumbria where most of her inspiration naturally comes from. She was previously designer at Bramall Hall then Artist-in -Residence at Muncaster Castle.

Susan started her own business many years ago and has had an on-line presence since 2006. She runs her own online business but also loves doing commissions and bespoke work.

In her spare time she loves baking, gardening, growing fruit and veg , making jams and chutneys, going for walks on the beach or the fells.
