Natural Plastering

I’m sad to say we spent nearly 3 months communicating with Gueorgui, which ended in wasted cost, an extremely stressful situation for our family and a want to genuinely warn everyone about this contractors bad practice. Renovating our home, we had a privileged position to build a space specifically as a shower room. I contacted Gueorgui after seeing his work online with a view to seamlessly plaster the room and asked for advice and a cost for his best options. He responded with some initial information, we provided him detailed architect drawings, pictures and information on the room and he responded with a quote and advice on how to finish this room and the substrate required. We instructed our joiner and plumber to build this room to the exacting advice Gueorgui gave us, spending money and time ensuring this was just as advised. We even discussed colour finished over the phone and on email. Once the room was complete (1 month+ work) we arranged for Gueorgui to visit the property (we had asked him before but he declined stating it wasn’t sensible to visit the property before the room was built). We arrange a 10am appointment, at 23:00 the night before, Gueorgui emailed me with an ‘adjusted’ quote which was more than TWICE the initial price quoted claiming we needed a different finish than what he first advised. I called Gueorgui to try to understand what this change was about. He lectured me on how the room needed this different finish and he couldn’t possibly use the initial finish he quoted, completely missing the point that we followed his advice and built this room specifically to his guidance. Nothing had changed, it was a shower room with glass panel from day one. We couldn’t afford this price at all, so pleaded that he visit the property now it was built to give us some advice on how we could achieve an alternate finish nearer to the first quote. He refused to even visit the property on the basis that ‘every time he visits central London he gets a parking ticket’ and that he wouldn’t change his price even if he saw the room. My expecting wife, 2 year old and I were due to move in 3 weeks later and had planned this finish exactly to fit to this timescale (1 bathroom only!) - this has caused us unbelievable stress having to find an alternative finish closer to our budget. I believe Gueorgui is either incredibly naive, with no respect or acumen to understand clients investment and needs, or worse so this is a potential ‘trick’ that some people will fall for under pressure. I understand now what Gueorgui first quoted for wasn’t suitable for the room, but he held this information back from us until the very very last minute. I have read good reviews for this guy, leading us to call him in the first place but I stress you must avoid this contractor to avoid the upset and stress this has caused us.Moreexpand_more

I had George reskim/replaster a hallway stretching over 3 levels in a Victorian house. He was very punctual in visiitng and providing a quotation and the work carried out – despite the difficult space conditions – was very good. Polite, considerate and professional in all aspects of his service.

Our job required plastering of bedroom walls and ceilings. George and team provided a very professional service: they were flexible with work dates, always returned our phone calls and messages and were willing to work hard to get the job done in time. George replastered the entire stairwell of my victorian terraced house. This involved removing old lath and plaster and steaming off layers of paint and paper. He then replastered throughout, walls and ceilings. I am very pleased with the finished result. He is polite, trustworthy and open to deal with. I would recommend him.

George came to plaster 2 chimney breasts for us at very short notice. He was courteous and communicative throughout and did a neat job. Would recommend.

George repaired a ceiling that had been damaged due to a water leak. He did an excellent job of removing the old ceiling, plastering, and painting, using the best materials. They were professional, friendly, and very quick.

Gs plastering carried out work for us in a large commercial development in London - Marylebone. George was able to attend site at very short notice to survey the work and was able to start on site the following day. Overall very pleased with the service and quality of work and would recommend their services to others.

They were really good and did everything as expected. We have the whole flat covered in carpet and everything was clean afterwards. Before starting the job they told us that because they had to cover everything it will cost a bit more in materials (we couldn't remove all the furniture), but once we set up the price, the job was really good and looks excellent. Also very polite and professionals.

George is very friendly and good plasterer that I would recommend to anyone needing a bit of plastering done. He did my lounge and a small bedroom. The finish is to a high standard, and he did a good clean up after himself. The job was turned around quickly which was a great bonus.

As a plumber and bathroom installer I regularly need to use other skilled tradesmen. George plastered a fairly large area on the walls and ceiling for me as part of a renovation I was undertaking. I found George to be outstanding. The quality of his work was excellent and I would definately recommend him to you. The thing that impressed me most though was his honesty.

George plastered 2 rooms in our house so that they were paint ready and offered a more modern look. George prepped the walls and also sourced the materials - which meant as little inconvienice as possible to us. The work was carried out efficiently, and tidily. I had quite a bit of plaster work that was needed for decorators and carpet fitters to start on time. George and his team did an excellent job, under a tight time constraint, and produced a very professional finish. I highly recommend him and would use him again in the future.

Needed some plastering done very quickly, as we are having a kitchen fitted. The guy came around on the required day at the right time, and was professional throughout the whole process, he had to match up to some plastering previously carried out, but ended up with a really smooth finish, highly recommended!
