We've been killing people for years - and we've been having fun doing it! Join us for one of our unique events.

Imagine. Whilst enjoying the company of your fellow guests over a splendid three course dinner a blood-curdling scream rends the night air, and to your horror you realise that the charming person that was sitting next to you has just been killed! A ghastly murder has been committed, Police are racing to the scene, and your instincts as a mystery buff tell you that there is a crime to be solved.

The action usually starts during pre-Dinner drinks. Actors, who play the 'characters', will mingle with the guests, or "audience detectives" as we like to call them, and the story starts to unfold. From this point onwards, you should be prepared for anything and everything.

At some point during dinner one or more of the 'characters' will die - usually quite horribly and messily. Now is the time to begin your investigations. The actors will make themselves available for interrogation and will remain in character throughout the evening. It is upto the audience detectives to talk to the actors and obtain all of the information they need to solve the mystery. The innocent 'characters' will only tell the truth - although they may be evasive at first. The guilty may tell the truth, but may also tell lies in order to avoid suspicion. It is up to the audience detectives to decipher fact from fiction and avoid the red herrings.

Towards the end of the evening you will be invited to submit your theories - who did it and why ? The evidence will be reviewed and the guilty party unmasked. There is only ONE possible solution - can you work out who had the means, motive and opportunity.

If you are looking for a smaller event, our Murder Mystery Party events are perfect for groups of up to 20 participants.

The event is hosted by 2 professional actors who are there to ensure the smooth running of the game and also to play additional characters within the story. You and your assembled guests are then invited to play the main characters within the story. Everyone gets the chance to use their detective skills and solve the mystery. The best way to describe it would be to think of it as a live version of "Cluedo".

Once you and your guests are ready to play and the characters assigned, your hosts will explain how the event works and how to play the game. The game itself is split into five rounds: Introductions - Meet your hosts and fellow suspects Round 1 - Time to start interrogating suspects Round 2 - Police evidence revealed + Question and Answer session Round 3 - Time to ask your final questions before making your deductions Denouement - The murderer is revealed
Each round is separated by a short break - if you are taking dinner as part of your experience then the courses can be served between the rounds. If no food is being taken, then the breaks allow for guests to start chatting about possible motives and suspects.

There is no need for anyone to have any acting experience (we positively encourage over-acting and the use of outrageous accents or mannerisms) nor prior knowledge of the plot as everything is scripted. Prior to your event we’ll provide you with an information pack so that consideration can be given beforehand to possible "casting". When characters are cast prior to the event we suggest that they may like to dress as their character to add further fun to the event.
