Mr Knife Guy has won multiple awards for sharpening on both a regional and national level. We specialise in Japanese hairdressing scissors, and are one of the few UK based sharpeners who flat hone to ensure your blades keep their convex edge.
We've been sharpening since 2016, and have trained extensively in the UK as well as Europe. We use a variety of equipment as well as a variety of sharpening methods to ensure your scissors and knives are working as effectively as they did when they were new.

We're experts in what we do. We provide a professional, efficient sharpening service to domestic and commercial customers all over the north west of England, and can also offer a postal service to customers who live outside this catchment area.

We have a great reputation for customer service. Our scissor rental scheme is the only one if it's kind in the UK; for a small monthly fee, we ensure you always have a top quality pair of hairdressing scissors in your hand. They're fully covered in case of accident, drops and theft, with sharpening as often as needed.

We sharpen knives for some of Liverpool and Manchester's largest commercial kitchens, but are just as happy to sharpen for the smaller domestic kitchens too! Nicks, chips and damage call all be repaired on site, and we're also able to repair damaged tips. Whether you're a professional chef or just love to cook, we'll make sure your knives are the sharpest they've ever been.
