Like most people we shopped around and we chose Mother Hubbards on the design which John produced. It was the only one which handled the awkward beam to give a beautiful balance. It was evident he had an appreciation for aesthetics as well as functionality and attention to detail. We got the impression that he really thought about the design at length and came up with fantastic advice. Richard, the fitter, was very skilled and the quality of craftsmanship was obvious. You could tell he took much pride in his work. Minor snags were quickly and professionally resolved. Many thanks to all the team, we are enjoying spending much time in our beautiful new kitchen. We had fitted wardrobes designed and installed by John and his team a few years ago and recently asked him to return to for 3 more wardrobes in our daughters' rooms and spare room. We are so pleased with the results. They are great quality and bespoke to fit the size/ shape of each room. Our decorater actually commented on how well fitted they were. We'd had had a quote from another company who said it would not be possible to fit in the 3 doors which we wanted on each wardrobe but this was not the case with John and they look fantastic. Some years ago we had a new kitchen fitted by Mother Hubbards, which we were very pleased with. Wanting new bedroom wardrobes and being extremely disappointed with those which were available in main stream stores we remembered our kitchen and returned back to Mother Hubbards to source the wardrobes. John Dunne, as ever was very helpful in designing the wardrobes, inside and out and made very practical suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble, providing a design to fulfill our requirements. The timescale from enquiry, measuring, designing and final fitting was suitably speedy. Richard, the fitter, who also fitted our kitchen was excellent. He did a precise, careful and impressive job. Nothing was ever rushed, the emphasis was on everything being right and to our satisfaction. The end result was furniture which we are delighted with and which far exceeds anything which we might have bought from a major retailer. We are happy to provide a full and positive recommendation of the work of Mother Hubbards. After visiting the usual big stores and being rather disappointed, we decided to try a smaller business- after reading lots of reviews we visited Mother Hubbard's Cupboards and are so glad we did. John is passionate about what he does and boy does he do it well, we had a tiny space and a wish list we knew was impossible - wrong- we're still not sure how, but after a few visits John designed a kitchen that has given us everything and more. The team John uses are all very, very good. Our old kitchen was stripped out, walls plastered, radiator removed, electrics moved and then our wonderful bespoke kitchen with Neff appliances installed, all within 2 weeks. Everyone involved were totally professional and all really nice blokes. A special thank you to Richard, you can tell by the quality of the finish he produces that he is proud of what he does, I think we provided him (and John) with some real headaches, but the end result is superb, we absolutely love our new kitchen, it has transformed our home. A bespoke kitchen is not cheap, but we didn't have to organise a single thing, everyone turned up when they should, items arrived by courier when they were needed, and I have never come across such tidy workers. We just had to make sure there was plenty of tea and biscuits. Worth every penny. Thank you.

We had a new kitchen designed and fitted by Mother Hubbards in September 2018. Right from the start we were very impressed by John's attention to detail. He was very good at listening to our ideas and making suggestions to help us arrive at the best design. The installation team were very efficient and coordinated well with each other. Richard, who was the main fitter did a meticulous and proficient job, making sure all the units were accurately installed and functioning perfectly. John project managed well, popping in a number of times to monitor progress. A couple of minor issues post-installation were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily. We are very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend Mother Hubbards Cupboards.

We had a kitchen fitted by John and his team at our previous property several years ago and were very pleased with the overall design and attention to detail at the time, which is why we didn't hesitate to contact him again when we recently moved house. We needed fitted wardrobes to our master bedroom and cupboards and worktops fitting within our utility room, which was quite a tight space. John's design again was spot on and any changes we made were accommodated without issue. His attention to detail was great again and the quality of install carried out by Richard was exceptional. The practical and useable space we have to both rooms is brilliant. We would have no hesitation recommending John and his team for any kitchen or bedroom projects.

We went to Mother Hubbards after seeing a kitchen they had done for some friends of ours. On first meeting John we were impressed with his expertise and obvious passion for kitchen design. Although our kitchen is quite small he managed to fit everything we wanted and in a stylish and practical way. Zach, the main fitter, stripped the old kitchen in a day and began the re-fit the following day. He was professional, friendly and took great pains to keep mess to a minimum. Nothing was too much trouble. All the work was done during the recent heatwave but his standards never slipped. Peter, the electrician, had to update some of our circuits and worked round Zach and made sure everything was good. The tiling was done by Craig and was again, excellent, really adding the finishing touches! After being very satisfied with 3 previous smaller projects done for us by Mother Hubbard's, we decided to use John again when it came to the time for a completely new kitchen. This was part of a major renovation to the house and the easy option would have been to give the kitchen work to the same builders. But we have trust in the work carried out by Mother Hubbard's so we asked John to visit to advise and quote. He has a lot of experience in the design of kitchens and the layout of all the different items to get the maximum benefit from their size and location. So he was able to guide us in the choice of units and appliances, giving us a good price on the Neff range of appliances in which he specialises. Working closely with the other trades people ensured a smooth installation which was completed on time and without problems. When a couple of very minor snags appeared shortly after completion, John and his fitter Richard were happy to correct these without concern so we are more than happy with the whole project. Mother Hubbard's gives a good service and when comparing the overall cost with some of the other big name suppliers, there's no question who to choose; Mother Hubbard's every time.

John and his team did a fantastic job with our kitchen. Their workmanship and professionalism produced a beautiful and practical kitchen. Mother Hubbard's Cupboards installed our kitchen 17 years ago and we were completely satisfied. We recently had the kitchen taken out and replaced, not because it was faulty in any way, just because we wanted a change. Once again, John designed a beautiful and practical space, which was expertly installed by Richard and the team. We have now lived with the new kitchen for over a year. It has attracted many admiring comments, and we're confident that it will last for many years to come.

After being thoroughly disappointed with the kitchen we had chosen from a leading high street company just 4 years ago, we were desperate for a new kitchen and wanted one to be proud of second time round. My mum had used John a few times before for both kitchens and bedrooms and so he came highly recommended. Some of our friends recommended John after he refurbished their galley kitchen several years ago. John's initial assessment and measuring up of the kitchen was very thorough, and he asked us lots of questions about what we had on our wish list so that he had a complete picture of what he needed to include in his design. We were very impressed by the overall design, which included everything we asked for, including an outside tap for use in the garden. From start to finish we felt very much at ease with John and his team. Pete, the electrician, and Zac, the kitchen fitter, were courteous, hardworking and always punctual. John paid regular visits to see how the work was progressing and he was spot on when arranging the delivery of different items so that there was no waiting around. Despite the constraints of a very small kitchen, John was able to completely utilise the space and provided us with all the storage we need. The kitchen was taken right back to the brickwork and a new floor and ceiling fitted before the units were brought in. We now have a kitchen that we can be proud of and it's a delight to prepare meals there. We had a complete kitchen refurbishment; that is a rip out of the old and fit in the new. John was very professional in the design, planning and progress of the project. His courteous, patient and careful approach to each stage of the work was impressive. The team who fitted out the kitchen were impressive too. Everything was carried out expertly and accurately. We had a complete refurbishment of our kitchen. This included taking up a slate floor and plaster boarding the entire kitchen. The service was excellent from planning to completion. Any issues that came up were discussed with my wife and I and dealt with immediately in a very calm and professional manner. The company have an excellent team of highly shilled craftsman to provide a first class service and beautiful kitchens.
