We've run Monster Event Hire from a commercial unit in Havant since 2002, hiring out bouncy castles, inflatables and event kit across Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and into London. Joanne and David own the business between us, and we own every piece of kit on it, so the person who turns up to set up at your event is one of our own full-time staff and not an agency casual. The inflatables are PIPA-tagged and tested annually by our in-house RPII inspector, the electrics are PAT-tested, and we carry £10 million public liability cover including licensed-premises work. Our operators are RPII-examined, first-aid trained and enhanced-DBS registered, which matters if you're booking for a school, a church, a council event or anything involving children. We're open seven days a week, 8am to 8pm, so if you want a quote on a date it's usually quickest to ring.

We've got around 200 items on the books across roughly 60 categories - bouncy castles, slides, assault courses, rodeo rides, archery, laser games, climbing walls, water units, marquees, photo booths, giant garden games and the rest of it. That range means we can cover a small children's birthday or a multi-day council festival without sub-hiring anything in. We've supplied East Hampshire District Council's community festival for years now, and we've worked with Ealing Playday, with STFC at Cosener's House, with CooperVision, with the Enham charity, and with a long list of churches, schools and wedding receptions across the south. Quotes are bespoke rather than flat-rate, because the price of a job depends on travel, staff hours, the kit you want and how long it's on site, and we'd rather work that out properly than throw a number at you that doesn't hold up on the day. Alongside the hire work, we also run PIPA inspections on other operators' inflatables across Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex, which is to say the kit you book from us is looked after by the same people other hire companies use to look after theirs.

Every hire comes with the paperwork to back it up. Inflatables ship with an anemometer and a written wind-safety procedure, with readings taken every half hour by a competent adult on site and a 24mph (Force 5) cutoff with mandatory evacuation. Risk assessments are available on request for every piece of kit, method statements are prepared as part of the booking, and the written contract covering site conditions, supervision, weather, lighting and cancellation is the same document we've been using for years. Our operators are RPII operator-and-supervisor examined and first-aid trained in basic life support, choking, anaphylaxis and haemorrhage, and every employee carries an enhanced DBS check, which matters for school, church and council work. All inflatables comply with BS EN 14960:2019 and are inspected annually by our in-house RPII inspector, with PIPA tags you can verify yourself against the national PIPA database, and our honest advice is that if the kit you're being offered elsewhere doesn't carry a traceable tag, don't hire it. The £10 million public-liability cover includes licensed premises as well, so we're cleared to work at pubs, clubs and bars where standard hire-trade insurance doesn't reach.
