MK Relocations

I don’t normally write reviews but I wanted to let others know what a great removal experience I had with MK Relocations. We decided to go with MK Relocations after getting four different quotes. On our moving day Steve and the guys arrived at 8:30 on the dot. They were friendly, approachable and respectful of our home and furniture. They dismantled our beds and reassembled them in our new home. It was a positive experience. I would whole heartedly recommend them.

As good practice read reviews and obtained multiple quotes for our 3 bed house move. MK relocations responded promptly and visited us to supply an accurate quote. We confirmed a moving date with MK and then as is the house moving process we subsequently were left in limbo due to agencies involved in the exchange and completion process. All through this MK maintained regular contact with us and up until 3 days before our actual move reassured us that they would do everything possible to accommodate our moving date without us actually confirming. Suffice to say we finally exchanged on 20th of Oct with a completion forecast for 23rd. 9. 00Am on the 23rd prompt MK Relocations arrived. We still hasn't completed but the team efficiently cleared our house asking throughout what we wanted taking. 2 vehicles were dispatched. One took our garden items and the large Lorry took our household. 2 and a half hours later the entire contents of our 3 bed was loaded uneventfully. We subsequently completed and by 4.30 pm all was unloaded. During this process the team asked us on multiple occasions where we would like our possessions placed and also helped us rearrange our living room. Also we requested wardrobe boxes and these were delivered 2 weeks before our move giving plenty of time to pack clothes. Can, t recommend these guys highly enough. Polite, courteous and nothing was to much trouble. We used MK Relocations to move from our large 5 bedroom house from Bancroft to Neath Hill. They loaded one day and unloaded the following day to make the whole process run smooth as we had so many garden pots! The team arrived on time in their two Luton vans and one large 18 tonne removals truck and all was loaded in 4hrs, unbelievable, I thought it would take all day considering all the contents we had to load. Day two went just as well despite the terrible rain, the removal team worked hard in the conditions and put carpet runners down to protect the carpets. Overall I was very satisfied with the service, and when we unpacked we found no breakages so cant complain at all.

We engaged this company at short notice to pack and move house. On the agreed day two members of staff appeared at the property on time. They packed up everything very quickly but did not organise the packing helpfully. Packing was muddled and boxes were labelled generically (kitchen for example) so it was necessary to go through every box to find specific items. In several boxes, bottles were thrown in anyhow, and unfortunately some had lids which were not secured. If they had been packed upright, then this might not have been a problem, as it was they leaked and ruined other items they had been packed with were ruined. They also packed so fast that we were unable to stop them packing items that should not have been packed! This was the case with some items we specifically asked them not to pack until the following day. The next day 4 members of staff appeared, again at the time agreed. The vans were duly loaded and we set out for our new house. Unpacking was achieved fairly quickly but again there were a number of problems. The sofa had been taken apart to facilitate moving. The back was left unattached to the body in such a way that this only became obvious when we sat down later. One item of furniture was damaged, which they claimed was broken before removal. It was not but as this was not picked up before we signed the job off, we have no recorse because they won't accept this as fact. Finally, we discovered subsequently that some boxes that were labelled garage ended up in the living room. I did not mind the staff taking the odd cigarette break but I did mind them leaving their cigarette stubs. We used MK Relocations as we received a recommendation from a friend. We moved locally from Bedford to Milton Keynes. The team arrived on time, and carried out our removal very well. The team were all cheerful and helpful. I could tell they took pride in their work. I would use MK Relocations again if we ever needed to move again.

They were not able, this time to help, but the response and desire was good and I will approach for any future work.
