I'm delighted with the work Matthew and Leyton completed at our house. Having moved home in the last month, I reached out to Matthew for a quote on an electrical safety test. Matthew was back in touch the same day and provided a very reasonable quote that we went ahead with. The test work was carried out diligently, professionally and we were provided with a comprehensive report and Matthew talked through the required remedial actions in a patient manner for ourselves to understand. The turnaround time to have the remedial work completed to a high standard was really appreciated, given we were keen to have the identified issues sorted to prevent any problems developing with the electricals. Both Matthew and Leyton are very knowledgeable, clearly have a huge amount of experience and are two really down to earth guys that we would recommend to anyone looking for safe electrical work to be completed. This is the 4th time that I have used MJE Electrics in the last 8 years. I would not consider anyone else to do electrical work for me. I recently bought a 17 year old house and the electrics looked OK when I viewed it, but when I took possession of the empty house, it became clear to me that the electrics had been extended by an amateur. Time to call in Matt and Leighton of MJE Electrics! They quickly responded to me and as my house was “vacant” there was not a problem with social distancing while they did the work. They tested the system to find several faults and gave me an approximate costing for the remedial work. I also asked them to make enhancements to the number of sockets to the house, attic and outside shed, which was a separate quote. Both quotes were reasonable considering the level of work needed so I asked them to start. They needed to put in a new electric feed to a converted ground level garage and I asked them if possible not to lift the upstairs floorboards. So they put the new feed from the new “board” into the former garage, behind the ceiling coving – a brilliant solution. Matt and Leighton think about the job and find solutions. The work was completed in less than a week and I am very pleased with it. Matthew and Leighton fixed a tripping fuse, removed some unsafe old wires, fixed a flickering light and tidied up the power supply for my boiler. All done in under an hour, very professional and friendly service. The price was fair too. Really happy thank you!

Matthew carried out an electrical survey on our home and then later on did a total rewire. Him and his team were always on time, very polite and let you know what was going on. They were also really tidy and cleaned up after each room. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I had two jobs completed by this company. Both were completed on time and professionally. The first job was the change the main fuse box in the house along with water and gas earth bonding. The second job was the have a new circuit installed upstairs as there was no where near enough plugs upstairs. Having used the sockets for over a month now I can confirm I am very happy with them. There was also a change of an old light switch, and three lights where changed. I have recieved the relevant paperwork to prove that the work carried out is certified. The guys are very helpful, one of them is skilled to the teeth as he knows pretty much everything DIY. They knew how to put the floorboards back along with the carpets properly. Contacted Mathew on a Thursday for quote to fit three ceiling lights and pull switch. Arrived Sat. Morning as agreed, on time. Did a great job in no time, and cleaned up. Charged the price he quoted. Very happy customer. Would definately use again, and would recommend to friends and family.

We had a new fuse box fitted in our 1950s house and all the additional wiring work on light switches etc needed to be able to issue us with a safety cert. They worked tidily and strategically to ensure our safety and that any future work wouldn't hit problems. We're very happy with the work which came in close to estimate despite additional work and within time estimate.

Matthew and Layton came when they said they would and took exactly the time they said they would. They installed a new control box and removed old wiring replacing it with new. They were helpful with suggestions and prepared to do extra work to overcome snags. They provided full documentation and certificate for the wiring. They are exactly the kind of professionals that people hope for to trust to do a great job.

Updated wiring in our period house with a new fuse box and made lights and switches safe after carrying out a thorough inspection. Installed new sockets in most rooms and wired in switches for lights which had previously been running off very old extension leads! Can't fault Matthew and Leighton, they worked efficiently and tidily, advising on the best ways of doing things to avoid unsightly trunking and taking up floorboards to install new sockets with the minimum of disruption to the look of our period features. They were pleasant to have around he house and explained everything they would be doing and gave realistic time frames as well as being reliable in turning up on time on the days they organised. Will recommend to anyone.
