Searching for a builder can be an daunting experience but I would highly recommend that you look no further than Mark; MJ Builders. I had quite a project in that I wanted to extend my kitchen, by removing a wall that connected to my conservatory. I wanted more of a wrap around style, which was to include a peninsula and separate sofa seating area with bifold doors that brought the outside garden in. From taking walls down, to putting bifold doors in this review cannot reflect Marks expertise enough in that he really does a fantastic job and ensures he gets the work completed as quickly as he can. He treats your home with respect, and tries to leave it as tidy as he can, understanding and appreciating how challenging it can be to have to live amongst the unavoidable layer of constant dust! He is prompt, reliable and won't let you down…. I am a very satisfied customer and will definitely be using him again. Joanne Taylor.

Mark installed a door from our hallway into our garage. Completed the job quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend. Will definitely contact him again for any other work we need doing in the future.

After searching for a builder for some time we came across Mark's website. He turned up when promised to give us a quote. Mark and his team were able to fit French doors, a new window, plaster the complete kitchen, electric and plumbing work and disposed of all the waste. The team had no hesitation overcoming a couple of problems and dealt with them without any problems. Can't recommend Mark and his team highly enough and would not hesitate using them again. Fantastic work.

Wow, what a transformation Mark and his team have made go our home. He has turned our house into our home! We Can't thank him and his team enough for what they've done. Full refurb to include new shower suite, bifold doors, log burner, underfloor heating, new Indian stone patio, outside render, new oak floors, etc etc etc. The list goes on, needless to say I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Happy to call him a friend now and will definitely call on his services again in the future. 5* all the way.

We had an extension built on the back of the house, leaking roof fixed and a ramp added to the back door. Brilliant service, end result great. Throughout there was minimal mess, and they were always happy to go the extra mile while being conscious of the cost.

We recently had a new kitchen fitted and also converted half of our garage to form a utility room. Mark and his team were absolutely brilliant from day 1 to finish. Mark has a really down to earth personality, nothing is too much trouble. He is an expert in what he does and his attention to detail is impressive. We would definitely recommend him.

Mark's lads came round to fit a new lentil to my front window and did an excellent professional job. When Mark collected payment he said promised to send his team ack to clean the brickwork once the cement had dried. Having paid I was pleasantly surprised that they did in fact clean the brickwork and put back up my hanging basket. A lot of companies I have dealt with don't want to know when they have been paid so I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Mark, Neil and Ben completely demolished/rebuilt 7ft backyard walls. They managed to use mostly reclaimed bricks to keep in character of the house. They also flagged the yard, fitted an outside tap, repaired a drain grid rebuilt my wooden shed (all extra work). Their price was more than competitive, work excellent and speedy. A great bunch of guys, honest, trustworthy nothing is too much effort for them. And believe it of not removed the rubbish afterwards!

We had a front and rear dormer put on our bungalow. Me and Stephen would like to thank mark and his team for the amazing job they did on our house. They completely changed our lives and nothing was too much trouble for them. I honestly cannot recommend them enough to anyone who wants a friendly yet professional service you won't be disappointed definitely a 5 star company! Mark and his team were incredibly friendly and honest. They really helped us out when we kept finding more and more damp problems with our house, which he made time to rectify for us whilst building us a porch at the same time! No question was too silly to ask and he explained things to me as we went along. Worked incredibly hard and we will definitely use them again for further work.

I contacted Mark when a problem developed in my downstairs utility/shower room. Water was seeping up through the floor grouting in the ceramic tiles. He quickly ascertained that the problem stemmed from the fact that the previous workmen who fitted the shower some three years previously, had failed to install the shower tray correctly. This resulted in water seeping under until the wooden base was completely rotted through. Mark and his team had to remove the shower cubicle, tray base, remove and rebuild floor. Cut out the wood that had been damaged and replace with new. The ceramic floor tiles also needed removing and new tiling fitted. A new shower was also installed. All of this work was completed to a high standard. The workmen were very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend Mark, and his team to anyone who needs any kind of work doing on their house. I will certainly contact him again the next time I need any work doing. I wanted to have a new kitchen fitted but needed the external side door bricked up and French doors put on the rear of the house to give the kitchen a better layout but unfortunately the builder who was going to do the job let me down. I found a few builders on the Internet who said they were too busy but when I phoned MJ Builders and explained to Mark that my builder had let me down obviously holding up the rest of the project he said that although he was very busy he would help me out by doing it one weekend. True to his word he turned up a couple of days later to measure up so he could order the French doors and as soon as they were ready him and Neil turned up to do the job which I must say was to an exceptionally high standard no one would ever know that there used to be a door on the side of the house in fact I was so impressed I decided to let them fit my kitchen. Marks team is very professional, hardworking and friendly, they came up with some great ideas which made my new kitchen work better for me. Mark is a realy genuine person who cares about his customers, I would highly recommend MJ Builders. Thank you Mark and your team I am very happy with everything you have done.

We were most grateful to Mark who fitted us in to his heavy workload after our prospective builder had to withdraw due to family bereavement. Mark and his team worked really hard to complete the refurbishment of the house and the workmanship was of a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble and Mark was able to offer excellent advice and the ability to provide solutions to several problems that we encountered during the alterations. We would recommend him and most definitely use M J Builders again in the future.

Mark and his team have completed a two story extension to a high standard. We love the additional rooms it has created. Worked exceptionally hard through all weathers. Provided solutions when problems arose, working with us so we were able to continue to live in the property as work went on around us. Work included knocking through and extending bedrooms, bathroom, fitting new windows throughout, fitting kitchen units, kitting out and tiling of a wet room. His talents are endless, always has a smile, is very reliable and would recommend without hesitation.

Mark and his team worked through all weathers (including the aftermath of the Boxing Day floods) to undertake a large extension, loft conversion and converting a bedroom to include a walk in wardrobe and en suite. We really liked Mark's proactive attitude and professionalism in sorting out problems. All of the team were polite and took care around our home. We are very pleased by the work which has transformed our home. We are very glad we chose MJ Builders and we would use them again in the future.

Mark put us a floor in our attic so we could make proper use out of the space. His quote was affordable and good value for money and Mark really listened to what we wanted and delivered a really good end result. His communication with us throughout the job was outstanding. I had a requirement for a new roof that span across two terrace houses, MJ were very quick in response from first contact and they got back to me in a very timely manner with firm quotes for the work. There were added complications to the job as we also found it would be beneficial to remove 3 chimney stacks that had been disused for a long time, MJ took the time to explain the benefits of removing them and it did not add a great deal of cost to the project. All of the works carried out by MJ were carried out to a very high standard, all of the builders were very professional in terms of their approach to the job and I am more than happy with the final result. Overall, I was happy with the price for the work, MJ were very competitive compared to other quotations, the work was carried out in a timely and professional manner, the level of professionalism from all of the builders was very satisfactory and some of the work involved did show up some other issues along the way and MJ explained these clearly to me before proceeding to overcome them. I am pleased to say if I have any other building requirements I will definitely be using MJ again and I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone seeking building services.
