After playing rugby league at national league level and representing Germany I retired from the game due to severe arthritis in my knee. I went from training 5 times a week to doing no exercise at all, thanks in part to the long hours involved in education and the birth of my son. Needless to say the weight started to pile on and I found myself in a rut. Despite being involved in the health and fitness industry myself, I couldn't find the motivation or prioritise my time sufficiently to get back in shape. I got in touch with Rob in the hope that he could help me get back to a reasonable level of fitness. Having seen many personal trainers in action I was sceptical about using one myself as I thought they were expensive and you didn't get much in return. Rob changed my mind! We spent a good amount of time discussing my lifestyle, barriers and motivations as well as previous exercise history after which he helped me to develop an excellent periodised training plan, some of which I completed on my own and other times with Rob. What really impressed me was the effort he went to in ensuring it wasn't just the session he cared about. He was always in touch, checking on my progress and offering support and guidance at the times I needed it the most He was always available to answer any questions I had and this helped keep me moving towards my goals. Im now in a much better place both physically and emotionally and I cant thank Rob enough for his help! I'd recommend him highly to anyone.Moreexpand_more

Rob from Purpose Fit designed me a workout and diet based around my goals (lose a bit of belly fat and improve my general fitness for sports). I liked that it was realistic and not impossible to achieve - especially the way it did not involve long sessions in the gym or crazy no carb dieting. I have definitely seen results already and am happy to continue with personal sessions which so far prove to be great value for money.

Rob helped me a lot with training for a triathlon race that I had recently. We worked on speed drills and strength training that I hadn't done before and didn't even think would be worth doing for running and cycling but it did work and I got a great result from it. Definitely recommend working with Rob if you can. Top trainer.

Rob is a great instructor and makes work outs fun and easy to follow. He always wants me to get the technique first - which I think is a great approach as it allows me to do exercises on your own if I need to. We do fun things too - like exercises in a park for example. He pushes me too - well needed I must say! I can see the progress already. It feels awesome!

Loving the sessions with Rob at Purpose Fit! Because of his personal training experiences, the training wisdom he brings is second to none! I especially enjoy the boxing training we do, it's a hard workout without feeling like one.
Response : Rich is a great client and really gives everything to his workouts. He's motivated and keen to improve and that he has! He's smashing through the workouts now and is really seeing improvements.
