I attended the store to get a screen replacement on an iPhone. I only wish I’d gone elsewhere. First attendance - agreed I would attend and they have the part waiting. On arrival - no part. Returned later that day and new screen provided at a cost of £80. Second attendance - the following day there was a black spot in the corner of my screen, on pressing it it was clear there was a crack. No damages had been caused by myself. Attended and was told I had dropped my phone. As the phone had been with me I knew I hadn’t … attitude of owner was shocking. No part was in stock and due to bank holiday and couldn’t source one.Third attendance- arranged on the second visit having been told new part would be waiting at 1230/1 and would be done at cost. Again no part in stock and had to leave and return. Fourth attendance - paid the £50 ‘cost’ and screen replaced.Fifth attendance - screen appeared to have a crack from top corner to cotton corner- no smash pattern or bullseye of impact. Attended for assessment. I Was informed I had caused the damage in a likely drop - which I had not. Would this not be a little too coincidental - but logic is apparently in short supply. The owner was abrupt and continued to inform me I had caused the damage which questioned my integrity and quite frankly my ability to hold a phone without dropping it.Sixth attendance -Informed no warranty from supplier. I was provided options - maintain broken screen return for my £50 back or new screen at no cost.New phone screen was my option of choice.I was Informed they wouldn’t hold any warranty on this screen - which I’m pretty sure is against all my rights as a consumer and bearing in mind I’d not damaged the second or third times I was suggest grossly unfair.I now have a have an iPhone 16 where the side camera button no longer works since taking it for repair (did prior). Cost me £120 for appalling service.Goodness knows how much in fuel for their constant ‘we’ll have the part - sorry it’s not here can you come back The attitude of the owner informing me I had dropped my phone (3 times?!) and refusing to listen to the fact I had not. I’ve owed a mobile for 30 years and never damaged a screen - but apparently despite having not dropped it in the week from hell of dealing with this store, I was accused of having done so 3 times in 7 days. Really ?!I cannot urge anyone enough to not use this service … it is ultimately now a less than a year old I phone with a screen with no damage but the actual device is damaged due to this company’s service.Pay the price and use someone who isn’t going to deliver an incredibly sub standard service and permanently damage your device.Moreexpand_more
Excellent service from Microsmith. The screen on my fairly ancient Samsung phone was completely blank. After having checked all possibilities it was established that a new screen was required. The new screen was fitted by the end of the same day. The phone is now performing better than it has done for years. Would thoroughly recommend.
I've used Microsmith for repairs to my laptop for several years. The quality of the repairs is exceptional and the service provided is second to none. The staff, especially Mike, are laid back, kind, thorough, tolerant of my ignorance (they never make me feel stupid! )and absolutely professional in their approach to any repairs. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I decicded to upgrade my o/s from vista home basic to ultimate,had probelms with a few drivers that did not reinstall so prevented me going on the internet,wired and wireless,mike got it sorted,had a few minor probs,yet again mike got it sorted,really good priced,good service,at his prices i can afford to keep my laptop running perfect,iam also planning to upgrade the hdd,processor and extra ram,ive given mike the contract to do it when finances permit.
Best place for your pc's,laptops and other electronic appliances to get repaired , charges at affordable prize. I experienced a good a service and i would like to refer my friends and i have recommended many friends. I am a student and so it is of much useful for me and my colleagues.
