Poor customer service, I will not recommend them. Staff needs to be trained.
I have been renting my property in E1 through M&C for just under a year. They done about £2000 worth of refurbishment to the flat at no cost to me. My rent is always paid on time. Any mistakes made are quickly rectified. Amjad is my point of contact with M&C. He has been excellent to deal with, honest and patient with my specific needs. Overall my experience has been smooth. I found all their staff to be professional in particular Jonas, Tanveer and as mentioned before Amjad. I would definitely recommend them to landlords thinking of renting out their properties.Moreexpand_more
I found the staff at metropolitan and crown to be very professional and proactive with their service. As a landlord I have never had any issues with rent collection which is probably the biggest thing for me as there are associated costs which cause a massive headache if it does not come in on time. M&C have always paid my rent on time on a guaranteed basis, and I have been using them for the last 2 years without any issues. I would strongly recommend to fellow landlords to consider the guaranteed rental option as it's headache free.
Worse estate agents I've been with! I have rented 5 properties so far in my life from all different estate agents and these are by far the worst I have come across for a number of reason, I do not have a vendetta against this agency; although after you read this review it may seem otherwise, but I am just bitterly disappointed that there were no reviews or warnings about this estate agents before I started my tenancy with them. There was a problem with the length of the tenancy agreement due to me booking two rooms through an advert for just one of the rooms which was advertised as a 3 months agreement. I did not see the advert for the other room which was a mistake on my part and I wasn't aware the other room was a minimum let of 6months, I did not want a tenancy agreement for this length. This miscommunication resulted in additional costs and conveniently for them the rent was raised for the shorter tenancy. I was told I would lose my holding deposit (£400) if I didn't pay the increased rent. Which in my opinion is very unfair as I hadn't signed the tenancy agreement at this stage and thought it would have been better for them to return my deposit and find a new tenant for the room for the six months. After moving in I found it strange the guy moving us in didn't show us around the property but just the rooms. The reason for this was probably due to the leaking ceiling in the living room and all the damp patches all over the ceiling. The house was advertised as 'everything provided' including cooking utensils, WiFi and a TV in your room. It didn't state however that all the utensils were either covered in mould, broken or in too bad of a state to use. The WiFi is very poor and frustrating to use due to buffering and loading. The tv isn't to bad, freezes sometimes and the connection to the aerial is bodged. An important complaint I have involves the time recently when another tenant at my house found bed bugs in his room and Metropolitan and crown refused to pay for a hotel for him as they didn't class them as 'life threatening' they got his room fumigated a few days after they were reported but Metropolitan and crown would not pay for his hotel room that night either. In my opinion this was poor customer service I recently found out that I will be losing all of my deposit because of another agreement within the tenancy agreement that requires 1 month and 1 days notice before the last payment date. I thought it was 1 months notice before the tenancy agreement ended which I gave. I was unaware of the other agreement and lost my deposit for being 2 days late on the notice. To gain a tenancy you must provide a lot of information and you are required to sign a lot of agreements that can result in you losing your money or extra costs if you are not careful.I did not have a good experience with this estate agent and would not recommend them to anyone but I must remind you that this review is my own opinion of metropolitan and crown. My previous review was written immediately after I found out I had lost my deposit so a bit harsher than needed but after metropolitan and crown contacted me I have read through and edited it as I believe reviews and opinions are important and do not want it removed.Apologies for the edits but metropolitan and crown contacted me to aware me my review was a violation of the Defamation/Tort Law so I have amended accordingly to avoid legal action.Moreexpand_more
Brilliant independent agency who I have the pleasure of working with. Since I have been with them I can confidently say I have stress free and the service they provide have been excellent. The team are friendly and welcoming…. If I had a few more properties I would definitely have it in their care.
I have been there customer for the past 10months they are very polite proffessional I have also reccomended many of my friends to them, in my opinion they provide an outstanding service which is hard to come by this day and age with the number of cowboy agents out there, thanks m&c ill give them 10/10.
M&A manged a block 6 flats for me over the last two years. The whole experience has been very good with both management and staff. I am now making more properties available to them as I find the company easier to work with and understand the needs of both landlord and tenants. Finding a letting agent and management company in London that not only takes the owners' interests, but the tenants interests in mind when letting a flat is extremely challenging. Additionally, through their actions, agents typically make it clear that they are ultimately just concerned about their commission. Fortunately for us, we came across Metropolitan and Crown who go against the grain. Having utilised their services for several years, I can throroughly recommend Metropolitan and Crown to anyone thinking of letting their property, the service provided being of exceptional value, service and quality without the usual, transparent, estate agent waffle.
I used this estate agent and I am not happy at all they lied and did not deliver what they promised, they say what I wanna hear to make me happy and did not solve the problems I said the property was facing and did not look after the property, they are thief's stole my washing machine, I was not happy at all with them so I replaced them with a better estate agent and I am frustrated to be treated the way I was treated and the problem I had to face and hope no one else does! AVOID!
I have been with M and C for nearly 9 months and am extremely impressed with their service. I would certainly recommend them to people wishing to rent out their property. I have found Amjad honest professional polite and approachable. Got total piece of mind that my property is in safe hands.

I was a resident for 6months, they always did the bare minimum for repairs etc on several occasions they would replace faulty equipment with second hand equipment which also didn't work fully. They also claim to have a weekly cleaner for communal areas however this person rarely visited and when he did be spent 10minutes wiping diwn surfaces with warm water and never used any cleaning product. The standard of the property was awful, I regret ever moving into a metropolitan and crown residence. Terrible. Do not use!
Raj, Ali and Farah provide a wonderful service. I highly recommend Metropolitan and wished I come across them earlier as they provided us with a complete hassle free rental of your property service so you can get on with your lives knowing that Metropolitan will take care of your rental property for you. We gave Metropolitan the keys after straight immediately after completion and they took care of our property and let it out for us. Our rent guarantee (3 so far) has been paid on time. Raj got so much experience and we would often ask for his advice before making my mind up on a new property investment and will no doubt be using Metropolitan services for our next buy-to-let investment.
Managed my property for two and half years and in that time I had complete piece of mind. In fact I was contacted only once over the whole time otherwise all issues were managed by them directly with the tenant. I have never had to persue them once for money or services. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Metropolitan and crown estate agent is always reliable, when ever I need any work done at the property he will make sure it is fix within days. I would recommend Raj and is team to anyone who wants a professional agent who would look after their tenants when ever needed.
