Matt and Joanne, and their fitting team too, all helped make the refit of our kitchen a really positive experience. They were friendly and professional throughout and ensured that we were given good advice as we went through the design process and on to completion. Would highly recommend!

Matt and team did a great job redesigning our dysfunctional kitchen layout. Everything from design to fit was an exceptional service. Matt was always very accomodating of any questions or worries we had. A year on and we still love our new kitchen with no regrets!

Matt and his team all worked very hard and the attention to detail throughout was exceptional. All of his tradesmen were extremely courteous and highly professional without exception including the electricians, the plasterer, Ashley the decorater and the flooring team headed by Sam. The actual fit was completed by Nik whilst working around the other contractors to a very high standard and on time. Nik was absolutely brilliant so professional with attention to detail over and above. Matt designed the kitchen and helped me choose what would work well in the kitchen and worked tirelessly behind the scenes arranging everything which all came together nicely. The resulting new kitchen is absolutely stunning I am over the moon with the end result. I can highly recommend Matthew James Kitchens and his team without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend going to see Matt if you want a new kitchen that will deliver everything you imagined (and some things you didn't think possible! ). We stumbled upon Matthew James Kitchens after being uninspired and disappointed by several high street 'designs. ' Being unsure how to better use the space we had, Matt really took his time to consider how we as a family, used the kitchen area, how we would spend time in there and what are non-negotiables were. Even though these ideas changed over several visits to our home and the (fab) showroom, Matt showed the patience, creativity and design skills that reinforced our decision to trust him with the project. We are so pleased we did. We have a stylish, hand crafted kitchen, an island (which I was convinced would never work and would look cramped - it really doesn't - I am so glad I listened to Matt! ) and a space that feels uncluttered and easy to use in our busy household. From beginning to end the team were professional, tidy and friendly. A new kitchen is a huge project from initial decisions to installation. New kitchens are very expensive right! So taking your time and deciding on the right one and the right people is so so important. After much deliberation and many quotes from the high street and independent companies, we decided on Matthew James Kitchens. After the initial design and a few tweaks in the comfort of our own home and then the final design at Matts showroom, it was full steam ahead. Matts team worked so hard and attention to detail was impeccable. His tradesmen were all so courteous and knew exactly what was expected of them. A special mention to Carter (plasterer) who worked non stop, over a weekend till 6pm to get the job done. The actual fit was completed by Nik whilst working around the other contractors to a very high standard and on time. Matt worked tirelessly behind the scenes arranging everything and made numerous inspections along the way. Start to finish took 5 weeks which is a long time without a kitchen, but by god it was worth it. We have a beautiful, well thought out, bespoke kitchen and utility, which has transformed our home. When we started looking for a new kitchen we visited well known showrooms but were very underwhelmed with what we saw. We were then recommended to Matthew James Kitchens and as soon as we walked into the showroom we were impressed with the range and quality of the kitchens on display. Our kitchen is small but we worked with Matt to come up with a design that fitted everything in to our requirements. Eiv the fitter was great, we just left him to it and were excited to see the progress each day when we came home from work. Our new kitchen has exceeded our expectations and we were surprised by how much storage space Matt has created. We have no hesitation in recommending Matthew James Kitchens.

The team have done a great job in re-designing and executing our new kitchen which was in much need of a refresh! We’re really happy with the results, so thanks to Mat and the team for their efforts.

Matt was involved from the beginning with our project to extend and remodel our kitchen/utility/downstairs toilet. His ideas on how to best use the space were really helpful. Visiting the showroom was also great in helping us to make decisions when designing the kitchen itself. Installing post covid had its challenges, especially with the supply of electrical goods, but this was managed well and we had a completed kitchen in time for Christmas as planned. We are really pleased with our new kitchen.

I asked Matt to come and have a look at my space within the kitchen, with us designing something that would make for socialising, family time and just make our kitchen a really workable environment. Following the design stage Matt gave me a date for his team to start the kitchen and I cannot tell you how over the moon I am with the outcome and how great Matt and the team have been whilst fitting, taking control over the whole project. I cannot recommend Mathew James more for their design, quality and customer Care. Great team ? .

We approached Matt to completely strip and remodel our old 70’s style kitchen. From the start he was polite and professional, listened to what we wanted and came up with a great initial design. We then had a series of discussions to refine the design and that’s where Matt’s understanding of what is achievable shone through, he’s got an excellent eye for detail and a great aesthetic sense, for example, finding ways to ensure symmetry in a fairly restricted space. He’s got a great team who worked hard throughout the build. Special mention to Eiv the fitter who went above and beyond the call of duty several times to ensure we were satisfied and the electrical contractors were excellent too. These guys obviously all work together regularly and there was a nice collaborative atmosphere throughout the work. We ended up with a beautiful, well thought out, bespoke kitchen which has transformed our home. We couldn’t be happier.

After considering several local and national suppliers we chose Matt due to several factors. First was his attention to detail both when discussing design options and producing CAD plans for us to review. He did in fact suggest an internal wall move that resulted in a larger kitchen area (including island) whilst still maintaining a very useable utility room. This saved us the expense of an unnecessary extension. The next factor was Matt's patience with us as we went though many design and layout iterations picking and choosing ideas from his excellent showroom! Matt also recommended suppliers for both the worktops and flooring which both had his hallmark of quality. Communication was very good given that Matt was very busy and we were still suffering from pandemic related supply issues. The fitter - Eiv - was superb from start to finish - he became part of our family for 2+ weeks, turned up on time, was very flexible and produced workmanship of a high quality - even helping with colour ideas and painting techniques ! Finally, as with any large project there were snags as we went along and at the end - all of these were addressed in a timely manner with no disputes whatsoever. Found Matthew via the internet and arranged a meeting and a visit to his showroom. Matthew’s design ticked all the boxes for the modern kitchen I was looking for and he had the perfect colour for the units (navy) that I was looking for. The work was completed by Eiv whilst working around the various other contractors to a high standard and on time. After service has also been brilliant.

Matt installed our kitchen in July 2020. He was recommended to us by friends and we were also pleased by the fact that he could arrange everything for us (electrical works, plastering etc) so that we didn’t have to organise anything ourselves. Matt was able to meet our requirements of fitting a new kitchen into an old wonky cottage that was in keeping with the age of the house but functioned for a modern family. We are delighted with our kitchen, really pleased with the workmanship and would recommend Matt to others.

Matt designed, supplied and installed our kitchen and utility in late June/ early July 2020 from our Architects high level brief to fit in with our wider renovation work. We went over to see Matt (unbeknown to us, the week before the COVID-19 lockdown) to talk high level plans and that gave us the time to chat and make a few tweaks to the overall design. We had to do the rest of the planning via phone/ email because of lockdown and during a pretty uncertain time on our house renovation that made timelines hard to judge and site visits a little more complicated but Matt was able to work around all of this. We had a couple of minor miss understandings because of the above that Matt quickly sorted prior to and once onsite when they came to light (very minor things in the grand scheme of it all) with no fuss and keeping everything on track. Through all this Matt kept us informed, with the fitter, Eiv working around the other trades to make sure everything went smoothly. We're over the moon with the kitchen, it's great quality as was the standard of fitting and gives us exactly what we wanted as well as a real wow factor. He was recommended by both our builder and architect and we'd highly recommend Matt and team too.

We are really pleased to have commissioned Matthew James to fit our kitchen and would certainly recommend. Firstly, Matthew showed incredible patience with us during the design process, as we changed our minds or hesitated about some details. He is always happy to take time to re-tweak designs, and let the final plan evolve, to ensure the customer gets the desired outcome. Matt is very strong at considering the implications of specific design details and can suggest alternatives or solutions to any issues that arise. He is interested in details and has an eye for clean lines, symmetry and balance. Our fitter was excellent and we are extremely happy in our completed kitchen.

After looking around at many kitchen suppliers we got down to 2 and decided to go with Matthew James Kitchens as they really helped us make the best use of the space we had and the price was comparable to others. Matthew ordered the fridge, freezer, ovens and hob and they were all fitted in order. The fitters were very experienced and worked hard doing the electrics, fitting of the units as well as decorating, and Matthew kept us informed throughout. We were very lucky as the the lockdown was announced in March and our kitchen was finished the day before. We are over the moon with our new kitchen and thank Matthew and his team and would have no problem recommending him to others.

Matt and his team completed a full kitchen renovation and garage-to-utility room conversion for us this summer. We are delighted with the result. Matt's design maximised use of the available space and suited our needs perfectly. The quality and fit of the new kitchen is superb. His team were all very professional and hard-working and we couldn't reccomend them highly enough.

New kitchen fitted including plasterwork, decorating and flooring. All work was carried our very professionally and completed within an acceptable timeframe. All the different workers who attended were very good and polite and the quality of the workmanship was excellent.
