7-Star Review for Martin and Debbie – Martin Vaughan Photography. This review has taken a while to write, simply because it’s so hard to put into words just how utterly brilliant this husband-and-wife duo are. From the moment we met Martin and Debbie, we felt completely cared for. Not just photographed - properly looked after. They guided us every step of the way before the wedding and throughout our extra-special day… including kindly (and efficiently! ) prompting Chris and the groomsmen that it was, indeed, time to get ready. Debbie was nothing short of phenomenal. She ran the wonderfully busy bridal suite like a calm, smiling general - welcoming guests, coordinating the bagpiper, managing five bridesmaids and a very spirited two-year-old flower girl, all while the seamstress was still embroidering the bridal gown right up until we left the room. She climbed on beds, carried huge lighting, kept me right on protocol (which hand, which side, when to walk), managed timings effortlessly, shepherded guests and delivered perfectly timed one-liners that kept everything light, joyful and stress-free. Martin is a true artist of the camera. His patience, discretion and attention to detail are exceptional. With an incredible eye for light, he captured moments from every angle -sometimes up high, sometimes flat on the floor - always with creativity, calm and precision. Watching him work was an experience in itself. And then there were the peacocks… Not only did Martin and Debbie capture us beautifully, they even managed to photograph the resident peacocks roaming the grounds of Ruthin Castle - a detail that meant the world to us and made our photos even more magical. The cherry on top? The speed of the editing and return of our photographs. It exceeded every expectation we had. The care, artistry and love poured into our images is undeniable. We truly could not have wished for anything more from this incredible team. Martin and Debbie. From the moment I saw your photographs all those years ago (when I worked in Wedding Belles), I knew that you would be the ones to capture our special day… I just had no idea it would take us 17 years to set a date! From the moment we met at your amazing home, we knew we were in safe hands. So mamy creative ideas, suggestions for backdrops, timings all figured out, lists of people and moments we wanted captured. No stone was left unturned- you'd thought of it all. We loved the regular check-ins, and the enthusiasm you showed when we sent you our own quirky ideas (mistletoe, candycanes). Thank you for being so open to them all. When I saw Debbie after stepping out of the car on the Big Day, I instantly felt at ease. She was 'in control'. Arranging the flowers, positioning my veil, guiding me on where to look and how to stand. It was just what I needed. Martin was non stop. Up on chairs one minute, then lying on the floor the next! All of which to get the perfect angles. Incredible. We LOVED having you both as part of our very special, intimate wedding. You even managed to take the most beautiful, dream-lile confetti shots, as well as picture-perfect images on the prom…. Keeping your eyes on the direction of the approaching rain clouds and sun light all along. (We thought the dramatic skies really added to the atmosphere!).On top of capturing all those memorable family group pictures, you explored the inside of the venue, and asked staff to switch the Christmas lights on a large tree in one of the other rooms in order to take the most magnificent BOKEH photograph. One of which should definitely be a Christmas movie cover! Talented, professional, warm, friendly and most importantly, FUN! A real dream team. Plus all images sent over in under two weeks. Wow. Our Daughter and Son in law chose Martin as their wedding photographer, after seeing his work on display at Portmeirion, where they had booked their wedding. They particularly liked his style and amazing dramatic photography taken within the village and he didn’t disappoint! Their wedding photographs are stunning and have been admired by friends and family. My husband and I were lucky to have a gift from the newly weds of one of Martins magazines, which is a glossy reminder of a perfect day- we are delighted with it. It’s a real treasure. I have to say that all this was made possible by Martins camera monkey (his lovely wife Debbie) who was the most friendly lady with an infectious laugh and a great sense of fun. She kept everything running smoothly whilst Martin was able to take all the marvellous photos. A wonderful team.

I knew as soon as I saw Martin’s photos that he was the wedding photographer for us. His creative vision really shines through his images and you know you are getting something unique with his work. From start to finish, Martin and his lovely wife Debbie were a joy to work with. We had a lovely chat with them pre-wedding where we were able to suggest the styles of images we liked and identify certain parts of our venue (Portmeirion) where we would like to have some shots taken. On the day, Martin and Debbie arrived with lots of energy and really put us at ease. Nothing was too much hassle for Debbie, as she helped me put on jewellery as I was getting ready, whilst Martin snapped away! Our guests loved Martin and Debbie too and they brought a lot of calm, fun and laughter to our day. We have just received our images back and are delighted with them - it’s fair to say, they are amazing and really capture both our day and the gorgeous surroundings of Portmeirion perfectly. I knew straight away we wanted Martin and Debbie to be the photographers for our wedding. They are the absolute best! We couldn’t be happier with our pictures from our day. From the moment I saw Martins photography at the wedding fair I knew I had to have him photograph my wedding. I kept circling back to their stall as the photography was mesmerising. Martin and his wife Debbie are just the loveliest professional but super fun couple. They take away your nerves and just feel like part of your family. Debbie even tied my shoes and pinned on the men’s button holes! And then they both helped ferry our things to the wedding venue in Cheshire from the hotel. I wasn’t well on the day and still they managed to take fabulous shots that blew us away. They captured the ‘feel’ as well as all the special moments. We cannot begin to tell you how much not only the photos mean to us, but the time we spent together and effort you’ve put in to making our photos spectacular. People aren’t usually told where to stand and how to pose in photos in day to day life, so we were both a little nervous about how we would do on the day. But honestly, you both made it so easy. Everything felt natural and it was comfortable for us to do. We had so much fun looking at Debbie all day The results, as we predicted, are absolutely stunning. We honestly don’t know how to put into words just how grateful we are to Martin and Debbie for photographing our wedding. From the very beginning they were such a joy to work with - so kind, easy-going and professional, nothing was ever too much trouble. Martin AND Debbie!We met this wonderful Duo in person in Portmeirion Wedding Fayre. What a lovely couple they are, friendly and engaging, passionate, ingenious yet very down to earth and humble. I’ve seen in person the exhibit - let me tell you – seeing the photos on Instagram, Facebook etc is a one thing, but when you see the gorgeous display, high quality images and STUNNING photobooks you just gasp at their beauty. At that stage we have already made arrangement with them, and we knew they will be photographing our special day; meeting the Couple face to face and chatting to them was a cherry on top and we got very excited we will be the stars of our own photoshoot We’ve had a consultation, lovely casual chat, during which we could have asked any burning questions. It was a chance for us all to get to know each other better. The communication was excellent and there were no unanswered messages. On The Day, Martin and Debbie arrived on time and didn’t waste a second. It was as if we have known each other for years. Easy and comfortable, casual chats and interactions with everyone. We eloped so we didn’t have anybody who would put on us “finishing touches” for example help me with the dress and accessories, help the groom with the buttonhole etc and here she is – the wonderful Debbie!She was thinking a few steps ahead. We got married in Portmeirion, which Martin and Debbie know very well. Martin was organised and had the vision and ideas for shots, we visited multiple locations and spectacular spots capturing beauty of the surroundings and charm of the place. It was a joy to watch their enthusiasm and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Sad it is over to be honest, we loved their company. What we loved about them was how they worked together, how they communicated sometimes even without words!Debbie knows what Martin wants to achieve, knows when to step in, suggests great ideas. Oh my goodness this pair of absolutely amazing photographers are such an incredible duo they know exactly how to be present without intruding and allow you to move naturally around and they somehow are always there to capture those moments that become so “precious” when all. Is done and dusted. I feel I have had many happy days since my daughters wedding the day itself Martin and Debbie were great arriving and somehow bringing calm with them, my daughter was getting stressed and worked up but Debbie put her at ease almost instantly. Debbie was organised and knowledgeable of the venue and how things work there, which was so reassuring. Their presence at the wedding was so gentle and encouraging and not forced like so many other wedding photographers they worked with the couple and caught them at their best. There are just no words to describe this amazing duo! From the initial email to the last message regarding picking up our fantastic wedding magazines everything was just so professional. They made us feel at ease, thought of everything that we didn’t, and just made everything run so smoothly (not just the photos). Debbie really knows everything there is about weddings and sorted so much out throughout the day not just the photos for us. And Martin was just WOW! Wow, Martin and Debbie were absolutely fantastic on our wedding day. Having seen them do the photos for a friends wedding 15 years ago I knew back then that when the day came they would be my photographer’s and I never changed my mind. Their photos were stunning back then and even more so now. On the day Martin and Debbie were professional, friendly and made the whole day more enjoyable having them around. We loved spending time with them having our photos taken. We’ve just received our photos and we were completely blown away by how beautiful they are. We cant thank Martin and debbie enough, they were warm and welcoming which made us feel at ease. They both listened to our mad ideas and actually made them a reality!
