Married to my Camera

Finding the right wedding photographer to photograph our day was so tough because there are so many out there but we eventually struck gold when we found David at Married to My Camera. Our final wedding pictures are amazing and he was a lovely guy to have around on the day as well. I would highly recommend David's photography!

On the day David was incredible. He was able to capture images from so many angles all at once and yet we hardly noticed his presence I've no idea how he did it. He was so patient with us and our family and efficient but not bossy as I've seen at some weddings. We would happily recommend him to any of our friends and family for a brilliant service at very reasonable price.

We can't recommend David highly enough. He is an extremely talented photographer as well as being a lovely person to work with and to have around on the wedding day itself. We had seen David's work on other weddings so knew he would be great, but the experience of viewing our own photos was even more wonderful than we thought it would be. He knows how to create an elegant narrative of the day that works in all the moving, funny and unexpected moments. He is a genius for capturing people but is also very skilled at capturing the feel and style of venues and of all the little details (flowers, place-settings etc) that you put so much thought into in the run up to the day. We love, love, love our photos from the ones getting ready in the early afternoon to the final dances. I would strongly recommend hiring David for the whole day - you won't regret it. The only problem he's given us is choosing which photos to frame!

We met many photographers before choosing David to be part of our wedding day in 2009. The choice was simple. Apart from his winning portfolio he made me feel at ease. David blended into our day so well that my bad camera face took the day off! He surreptitiously captured many beautiful portraits of us and all our guests, funny moments and small details that show his devotion to his work, his attention to detail and his creative eye. He silent-footedly, unobtrusively found his way into every part of our day to record it for us, at three different venues. At so many points in the day I remember seeing David genuinely enjoying himself whilst capturing clear, gorgeous images of everyone else enjoying themselves. David didn't just photograph the magic of our day; he allowed the magic to happen without imposing himself of it and so became an integral part of it. My husband and I just can't recommend him highly enough!

David is a gifted photographer. His work conveys a deep understanding of the principles of documentary photography. He is able to convey his photography skills through his wedding work with apparent ease. These aren't simply wedding snaps. Engaging compositions, timing, humorous observations and technical prowess are all there in his pictures. There are so many so called 'photographers' shooting weddings who lack creativity and expertise - these individuals should check out David's work and start practising. David avoids gimmick and has a knowledge and appreciation of art that enhances his work with subtle grace.
