Map Removals

I contacted Map to move my elderly mum , I required a full packing and moving service. Mark arrived on time to view and quote. The price was very close to my antisipated cost and much more competative than others my mum who is fussy liked Mark and felt confident that he was right for her move. They arrived at the given time to pack her belongings the day before the move and again on time the day of the move. Mark and the guys were happy, helpful and fully understood what was needed to stop an elderly person getting too stressed with the move. When I arrived at her new property to see how things were going I met Mark and could understand why my mum had liked him as nothing was too much trouble they didnt give the feeling they were rushing and took time to do things right including getting some big items up narrow stair wells. I would highly reccomend MAP and Mark to anyone looking to move and especially anyone elderly who would find the upheaval stressful and needed to be reassured all was ok. Mark even took some items to the local charity shop for my mum this was above and beyond and just demonstrated what a decent honest company MAP were. Markswords to me were " I moved your mum in the same way as I would look after my mum " that about says it all about MAP exceptional service and customer care. Mark and his team of fantastic, hard working staff moved me on Saturday 9th December. They were very polite, very hard working men who knew thier job. I had a 300 mile removal to be made and by far map were the cheapest around but I suppose you get what you pay for. Everything went well they took my stuff the night before and picked me up at 4AM the next morning. Until a couple hours into the journey when the man driving the van was eating, drinking, smoking and taking phone calls all while driving but not at the same time though. We arrived at the destination at a reasonable time and started unloading the items at a glance the items all looked to be in good condition but if you take a slightly longer look then you could see where it wasn't secured properly in the van and had gained many scratches. On the face of it they are a good company and I imagine for short distance they'd be perfect but for longer distances they seem to damage your stuff significantly I wouldn't use them again unless it was for a short journey only. RESPONSE TO MAP1) you offered to only have 1 man arrive with the removal. This was not my idea by any means. 2) when the items went into the van there was more than one person who moved and secured it into the van and I didn't help as per request of the van drivers. 3) I have done some removal work in the past including some of the items included in this move and they never came out looking as bad as they did when mark was in charge. 4) I politely asked Mark if we could leave a hour earlier to arrive at the destination earlier I never tied mark down for time and never said when he had to arrive there. 5) I have special needs so I don't like to talk to new people that I haven't met before. Although the amount I talked shouldn't of mattered because mark kept trying to make me go to sleep. 6) if mark had pulled into a lay by and eaten his food there or even got out and gone to a cafe I wouldn't have complained about it. I would have gotten out of the van and gone in the cafe with him. Don't worry I won't ever choose map again.Moreexpand_more

Although the company were busy I needed immediate help to move heavy furniture and they fitted me in on the same day I contacted them. Polite and efficient they sorted out my problem without any fuss. I would employ them again at any time and would thoroughly recommend them. Thank you Map Removals!

From start to finish Map Removals has been a great company to do business with. From my initial contact with the very professional and lovely Elaine through to the final delivery from Mark and Matt, they could not have been more helpful. My moving date kept moving and Elaine was extremely understanding and accommodating. She kept in frequent contact so that we could narrow down the suitable dates which removed a good deal of stress for me. We had a lot of glass to pack and the guys were completely unfazed by that and out of a whole packing, loading and unloading exercise we did not have one breakage! Impressive. They arrived bang on time as pre-arranged and swiftly got down to business and began the packing. They worked fast and efficiently and were very respectful to the other residents in our apartment block. Once finished with the delivery to our new home, they even arranged to come back and pick up the boxes and packing paper thus removing the headache (in this day and age of limited refuse collection) of dealing with a load of recycling. Move date - 31st March 2017. This is the second time I have used Maps services in the last 16 months. The two guys that assisted us in our move were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The company are great value for the area ( trust me I had many ridiculous quotes! ). I will be spending the word, thanks again Map Revovals.

The guys were both very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble when moving my daughter from one first floor flat to another. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company to others and use them again. Many thanks.

Excellent customer service, were on time and both guys were very professional, made my experience so much easier moving from Southampton to Bournemouth,great price,excellent communication from Elaine in the office all round couldn't have asked for a more smoother move.

Absolutely appalling, didn't want to work for the money, whinged and moaned constantly, refused to move most of the items requested. Save your money and don't touch these clowns with a 10ft barge pole. Trading standards will be contacted. Luckily the day after we were able to contact and hire a real removal company, the difference was like day and night.

Excellent customer service from the outset with Elaine in the office. The 3 guys that moved us were very amiable, very helpful, (apart from the guys didnt always read the boxes…ie. 'garage' boxes neednt have been taken up to the first floor and then we had to take them down again! ) but fabulous quick service, great price value. Would highly recommend the company!

Our move was made seamless and stress free. A very friendly team and amenable on the day and during the process of our exchange, after we had to change our move date several times. On the day nothing was too much trouble and my dad of 91 was kept informed and comfortable at all times. At last here was the only part of moving house that was painless. The team was so good from taking the booking and moving me. I could not have found a better removal company.

We moved this last weekend, and Mark and Dan were amazing! We had managed to cram an awful lot of stuff into a flat (moving from one flat to another), and they were fantastically helpful. They also helped move a bunk bed without completely dismantling it (meaning our kids were happy and could feel like their room was set up really quickly). They were helpful, kind, calm, and worked their socks off. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
