Maine Plumbing and Tiling

During May 2020 Shaun retiled my shower room, replaced the shower fitting and screen as well some other plumbing jobs including fixing my kitchen sink. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the price. Shaun was totally reliable, turning up when he promised, as well as his work being very clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in using him again.

Shaun completely refitted our very tired bathroom, the new room is almost unrecognisable - he was able to come up with solutions such as building into the window reveal to support the large shower screen. Shaun is unfailingly courteous, cheerful, hard-working and diligent, taking an obvious pride in his quality workmanship. He covers traffic areas during the day and then leaves his work space organised, tidy and ready for the next day's work. He has a brief lunch break but doesn't stop outside of this; he always undertakes a full days work. Easy to have around, Shaun always goes the extra mile. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who wants to engage a personable workman with super results.

Shaun installed and tiled a bathroom and toilet. He was professional, polite, and tidy at all times and consulted with us and advised on any queries. I was impressed with his attention to detail when setting out the tiles and fixtures and the result is an aesthetically pleasing bathroom.

Shaun has done a great job on our bathroom refit. The tiling looks fantastic. Everything was done with real precision and in consultation with us. Shaun certainly put the hours in to complete the job on time and cleared everything up at the end of each day. We are delighted with our new fully tiled bathroom, which was installed by Shaun. He paid great attention to the details, informing us when issues arose, and resolving them with our approval. Shaun worked on the installation for 8 hours each day, completing the work in just less than 3 weeks, and proved to be trustworthy, allowing us to feel confident in providing him with a key to the property. He worked around our 2 small but noisy dogs, ensuring doors were kept closed etc for their security. At the end of each day, Shaun tidied up to minimalise the disruption caused by the installation.

We seriously cannot praise and recommend Shaun highly enough. Shaun has consistently applied being mindful, careful, courteous, considerate and respectful throughout the whole process of removing our old bathroom and replacing it with brand new. Shaun has included us in any unforeseen problems that occurred and effectively resolved them with our approval. His hard working attitude was always appreciated as he would often work in excess of 8hours with only a short lunchbreak. His impact on the family home environment was minimal and he also made significant efforts to communicate and interact with our young son who has a learning disability. In all our experiences of using craftsmen to renovate four houses over two decades, Shaun has definitely come out on top and we would definitely use him again.

Shaun Maine fitted my mothers bathroom and did an excellent job. He was very professional and polite and put my elderly mother at ease. The bathroom now looks lovely. He removed the old suite and tiles and replaced them as well as replacing the flooring and putting in new ceiling lights. Highly recommended.

This is the second time we've used Shaun as he'd previously completely updated our main bathroom. This time he was doing the same to the upstairs shower room and the downstairs toilet. The quote was very fair and he explained variations that might be made to it, either by ourselves or where there were potential issues Shaun had identified from assessing the tasks. He had initially intended to do each job separately but, on identifying issues with the fabric of the house, he split his effort between the two jobs, keeping us fully informed of what was going on. Shaun fitted my new shower room in June/July and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From his first visit when he came to assess measurements etc I was very impressed. He had to completely gut the old bathroom and in doing so discovered problems left by previous plumbers but they did not phase him and he came up with practical solutions without any fuss. He worked solidly and conscientiously, ensuring everything was covered up to minimise the mess made. He kept us informed all the way through the fitting and we're delighted with the result. It was almost a shame to use the shower as it was all just perfect! We really can't thank him enough for doing such a great job and if you're thinking of having a new bathroom fitted, Shaun is your man. I just wish I'd discovered him ten years ago!

I am very thrilled with the new bathroom which Shaun fitted in my house to an excellent standard. With his initial survey, Shaun was attentive and took great care to listen to my requirements. And during the fitting he was conscientious, professional throughout with attention to detail and left the room tidy at the end of each day. When I had to be away with work for a short period during the fitting, I was confident leaving him my key. He kept me well informed on progress and involved me in decisions throughout.

Sean did an excellent job of re-tiling and refitting our shower room. The job was finished to a high standard with attention to all details and was finished on time - great service, can't fault a thing. Also, nice to work with someone who obviously takes pride in his work and is willing to do a smaller job such as an en suite - hard to find these days.

I recently had my Bathroom refitted, all old bathroom fittings removed plus floor to ceiling tiles, replaced with new bathroom furniture and tiled from floor to ceiling. Shaun worked constantly for 14 days with as little upheaval and mess as possible, I would highly recommend him.

Shaun always turned up on time, suggested improvements to the design ( like an alternative, less obtrusive routing of pipes in the cloakroom ), kept me involved with tile positioning and other decisions and produced high quality work.
