Richard and Val Padbury moved to Montgomery in July 2016 from Ardnamurchan, on the West coast of Scotland and are continuing their business of hand crafted items under the new name of Made In Monty. Richard was previously a scenic artist at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon and is enjoy using his skills to create affordable original artwork.

In addition Richard and Val design and make jewellery along with Val producing shell and shell and driftwood items for everyday decorative use or some specifically for Christmas. Lots of imagination used and each item is unique.

Richard and Val have specialised their jewellery and have found that their spec holder or chains are both beautiful and functional with either the traditional type with a rubber attachment to each arm of the glasses or a long necklace with a ring where glasses can be slipped in to, when not needed. This type is also good to use as an ID card holder / lanyard.
