Maddy Sutherland is a freelance illustrator with a foundation in Art and Design from Leeds College of Art, and a degree in design based illustration from Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee, which she graduated from in the summer of 2014. Although based in Aberdeen, she is willing to work with clients all around the world.

She works with narrative and also conceptual briefs in a variety of media both traditional and digital (including vector illustration). Since graduating she has worked with Freight design, the Ragdoll cat club, and has appeared in the print edition of the Guardian's feature 'Aye Art', with a political illustration prior to the Scottish independence referendum. In 2014 she won a D&AD New Blood award for her work.

I just had Maddy design my animals for a new children's story, She completed the work in good time and I am very pleased with the results. Value for money wise the price was just right. A few friends have already complemented the illustrations.

Maddy designed a personalised illustration of our pet, working off photos and capturing the perfect essence of our beloved cat. Her work is beautiful and her illustrations have a unique feel to them. I would highly recommend her.
