I found Mike through this site and was helped along by the positive recommendations so I'm going to add mine to the list. Mike quoted us and we found the price to be very fair and after chatting to him and looking at his work and testimonials decided that he would be a good choice. He arrived on time with a very friendly and positive attitude. He also brought along exactly what he needed after measuring on the quote day and simply got on with it. Great communication whenever he felt it right to ask for our input to make sure things were done to our specifications. He problem solved as he went and his work is neat, tidy, creative and professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble and his initiative was great to see. Too many times have we had tradesmen in who just seem to ride roughshod over your views or opinions but not Mike. He listened and then inputted and decisions were made and the job completed to a very high standard. We had a tricky door casing fitted where one did not exist along with a door hung and architrave added which matched the rest of the house and Mike sourced for this job. See picture attached. We also had some gas and electric cupboards made and fitted on site and the direction of some doors changed along with ball closures fitted. Mike has just fitted four new doors and frames for me. His work is superb, he turned up on time worked very hard and is a real craftsman, if you need a Joiner get in touch with Mike I promise you will not be disappointed.

Mike has just fitting new spindles, handrails, boarded the stairs, fitted a new door and loft hatch for us. Mike is a true professional his work is excellent and could not be faulted in any way, his price for the work he carried out for us was brilliant too, in fact he was that good we got him to replace the old laminate flooring in the kitchen through to the hall way. I found M. Heaton Joinery, on an online search engine. After reading the reviews, that people had left (all being very positive), I decided to give him a call, to request a quote. I needed to have part of a wooden window, including the window replaced, after burglars had damaged it (I have uploaded a picture of part of the window, that Mike had restored). Mike was extremely professional and most helpful. He advised and guided me, on everything he planned to do. His work is exceptional and I was very, very pleased with the work he had carried out for me. I would recommend him to anyone, who wants a pleasant, trusted, professional and high quality service, from a person who will go the extra mile, even at busy times. We have just finished completely gutting and renovating our house. M. Heaton Joinery have completed a huge amount of the renovation work including installing a new kitchen, laying wooden floors throughout, new doors throughout, new skirts and architraves throughout, redesigning our very dated 70's wooden staircase (which now is a fitting centrepiece to the whole house) and replacing the end panels, soffits and guttering round the entire property. Mike of M. Heaton Joinery has been a valuable part of the team throughout the project. Work was all completed on or ahead of schedule and his craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail has been second to none (especially with the finishing touches which really make the difference). What impressed us the most was his helpful, flexible approach and ability to think outside the box; helping us solve any issues along the way. We thoroughly recommend M. Heaton Joinery and will definitely use them for future work.

Mike fitted some cupboards in my hallway after being recommended to me by a friend. He arrived when he said he would, he did the work quickly and efficiently and he tidied up when he'd finished, taking all the packaging and rubbish away with him afterwards. His rates were very reasonable and his attention to detail was exceptional. A very friendly guy, I would recommend him without question!

His rates are excellent and he works extremely hard to finish the job regardless of what time it is. He hand made some wooden moulds for us that where missing from our period staircase. We were so happy with him that we asked him to return to plane and fit 9 fire doors for us without looking for other quotes. Turns up on time and takes care and interest in what he does. We're happy to say that he is now our joiner of choice and believe me we've met and had quotes from so many joiners in our area.
