Martin re-pointed sections of our external wall and investigated a couple of sections of wall that were getting damp, removing bricks to see inside the cavity wall. Finished off with a waterproof sealant in the problem areas. We are very pleased with the work and Martin was polite, friendly and kept us well informed about the job.

Martin provided a reasonable quote to fix my wooden fence that had blown down in previous storms. He then completed the job to budget, to a high standard of work and saved me money by using the existing sound fence panels. Highly recommended.

Rebuilt large collapsed soakaway drain with new cast iron grate. Clean, tidy, and prompt. No hesitation in recommending.

Martin laid a large patio area, a couple of ramps and a staircase for us in clay pavers. During the work we added a new soakaway to the job when it was discovered the existing one was blocked. The end result is a fabulous-looking patio and it was a pleasure to have Martin and John onsite. Communication was good and I'd use Martin again for similar work.

Martin reconstructed a drain soak way unit and drain in the driveway and he made good all the brick coursing aligning the drain and driveway. Martin was very good at communicating what was going on and what needed doing: before, during and after the works done. We were impressed by Martin's ability to find solutions to the various aspects of the blocked and broken soakaway unit. Strongly recommend: courteous and fair price; tidy and careful work.

Absolute pleasure to have Martin and John complete the drainage work on my patio, that had been flooding. Martin consulted at every stage and advised when additional costs were necessary and the reasons. Martin and John worked from early morning until the light went. Martin and John re-plastered and in some parts, rebuilt my crumbling front garden wall. Their work and attention to detail is excellent. Communications and quotes always clear. They are hard working and deliver what they promise. Left the site tidy every night. Came in under the quote. Left the garage used to store materials clean and tidy. Polite. Easy to work with. Many of my neighbours have commented on the wall and have also asked for quotes. I have already asked them back to do more work for me.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Martin to anyone. From the start he knew exactly what to do, is very friendly and communicative and the work he has done is great. He starts early, finished late, was a pleasure to have in the house. His colleague John was equally as brilliant. I would 100% use them both again.

Martin worked at our house over a long period of time, doing various jobs including underpinning, bricklaying, building my garden structures and many many more. He seems to be able to turn his hand to most jobs and is careful, tidy, polite and considerate. Unlike many in the construction business, Martin always keeps in mind the next trade coming along, so this saves a lot of hassle, cost and aggravation. He has always been the first person we will call. Reasonable prices, honest, highly recommended.

Due to rain leaking through our roof. Contacted Martin to give an estimate as to the cost of of stopping the rain coming in. He arranged for scaffolding to be put up and removed roof tiles. It was found that the west side of our house roofing felt had, due to age had reduced to a crumbling mess. He was honest about the cost and time scale re re-felting. He and his work mate, John. Did a fantastic and professional job. It showed that Martin is an excellent skilled builder and most of all trustworthy.

Martin has done several jobs for Portslade United Reformed Church. He has undertaken woodwork jobs, brickwork repairs as well as roofing repairs. His quotes were accurate for the work required. He is through with his work and finishing skills. He always clears up leaving the place clean and tidy. We have been very pleased with work he has completed. An independent trades person who can be relied on to give you personal service.

Martin was recommended through Nextdoor/streetlife he returned my phone call promptly, arranged to meet with me personally to discuss my project (replacement of cast iPrint airbricks). He was upfront about potential costs and showed good attempts at ensuring materials used were kept to a minimum to minimise wastage and keep costs low for me. I wasn't expecting him to be able to undertake the job for a while, but he was able to squeeze me in the same week. Turned up when he said he would and took as long as he had quoted. Excellent job, site kept tidy throughout. At the end he gave me a detailed invoice and the price came lower than quoted as he was able to reuse old materials. Overall I was extremely impressed.
