I asked if Lynne would be able to alter my wedding dress and wow did she do a fantastic job! Lovely lady, turns her hand to anything and at a great cost. If you need a dressmaker then Lynne is definitely your woman.

I fell in love with a designer wedding dress,1 I couldnt justify buying, so I found a look-a-like at a fraction of the cost, just a little alteration required. Googled dress makers and lynne's name popped up. Gave her a call and within 2 months my dress fits perfect. Cant thank you enough. I will recommend you to anyone who asks.

Lynne has just completed 4 stunning dresses for our only daughter's wedding. Quite frankly, a London designer would be hard put to style and make these 4 fabulous dresses. The bride's dress and the 3 bridesmaids' dresses were like nothing you could buy in the shops and of course the fit was totally spot on. Lynne is great value for money. I hope her fame doesn't spread too far or she will be swamped with work!

I would recommend Lynne Edward for dress alterations. I bought my wedding dress on-line and being only 5 feet tall, it needed taken up somewhat. Lynne did a fabulous job of taking up the hem and also altering the shoulders. The dress was difficult to alter due to its bias cut and also it had hundreds of beads on the shoulders, which Lynne had to take off and hand stitch on again. She did a marvellous, neat job of the alteration; no one would have known that the dress had been altered. She was also very flexible and accommodating for the dress fittings. I bought my dress on-line as I don't like wedding dress shops and couldn't face buying a dress from a shop. However, if I had known about Lynne I would have asked her to make me a dress, as the examples of her work that I saw were fabulous. Also she was very approachable and friendly and made the dress fittings a pleasure. The price she charged for the alteration was very reasonable, considering the work she put into it. I would definitely go back to Lynne for dress alterations or ask her to make me dress for a special occasion.Moreexpand_more

I agree with all previous reviews. My bridesmaid dress was tight at some bits and too big at others, she even removed bones to re-fit them, so the bust was perfect. Lynne is a friendly,helpful lady. Puts your mind at ease and goes above and beyond to help. Nothing is too much trouble to her. Definately would go to her again and would certainly recommend very highly. Lynne you are a star xx.

I was having terrible trouble with my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding. The final dress only arrived days before i had to go to scotland for the wedding. And even then it was far too big. I was due to stay with my family in kelso on the way up to the wedding and so decided to see if there was anywhere i could get the dress altered there. I came across Lynne Edwards design. Lynne was so helpful and even though she was really busy, she was able to alter my dress so that it fit perfectly for the big day. And best of all she did it within the tiny time slot i had. The alteration was flawless and great value for money. I would recommend anyone needing clothing alterations to call Lynne, and from what i saw of her other projects they looked great too.Moreexpand_more

Lynne is a wonderful dressmaker, and is so fun and friendly that she makes the whole process painless and quite a good laugh. Lynne made my wedding dress for me, and was tremendously helpful in choosing the right fabric, picking what kind of shape would suit me best, and what little details would really finish the dress design off. She was happy to go with my ideas, but was also really good if I was stuck and needed some guidance about the dress design. The dress itself is absolutely beautiful, and I felt amazing wearing it. It is beautifully made, and has all sorts of tiny little details that shows the handmade craftsmanship. I love my dress and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Lynne Edwards thoughtfulness took all the stress out of finding the perfect outfit. She has a lot of experience and listens to what you want.
