We used Luke Stanton Carpentry to repair several large windows in a Georgian listed building. The service and the quality of his work is outstanding, we would have no reservations of recommending him or his team. If anyone would like to see the work he did for us then contact Luke and he can pass your contact details on to us to arrange a viewing.
Luke undertook repairs on several windows on this listed property. Some had been badly 'bodged' in the past. The work was completed to a high standard and he took considerable effort to sort out the underlying problem. Very efficient, a clean worker, and knows his stuff. Luke also noted other work that needed doing and we engaged him to do this (painting and repairing fascia boards primarily). He did this to a high standard as well as fixing all additional issues he came across - bits of rot, damaged gutters, blocked downpipes. All completed efficiently and cheerfully often under difficult weather conditions. A real craftsman.
Excellent work and professional service. Luke is a real craftsman. Highly recommend. We had all of our windows restored and they look and work fantastic now.
Luke and his team renovated my bay window. They also put in double glazed units, this included taking original stained glass and putting it into a double glazed unit. I was very impressed with Luke's knowledge and adaptability when quoting. The job they have done looks fantastic. They have taken an enormous amount of care to ensure that the original look of the window has been restored and at the same time have done a very high quality job. My window is warm secure and looks brilliant. Neighbours have been over to admire the work nd ask about it. I am a very happy customer.
My mid terrace was in desperate need of new Windows but I was reluctant to go for newly made wood ones so decided to have them restored. The front two were completed by another firm but I was dissatisfied with the job and decided to look elsewhere for the rear windows. Luke has done a very good job, everything appears to have been replaced where needed rubbed down properly. The sashes run well and the new locks he has fitted are far superior to the previous ones and offer good security. Luke was reliable and Connie who takes care of everything but the carpentry seemed to have a firm grip on it all from start to finish. If you have rotten Windows or doors I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. A great double act!
We have just moved into a brand new house and needed someone to do jobs that we couldn't tackle ourselves. He put up a very heavy mirror, towel rails and attached and levelled a grandmother clock to a wall so it works perfectly. The major work was designing and fitting extensive book shelving in pine and we are delighted with the result. Luke doesn't always exude confidence but is anxious to give the customer satisfaction. For example, he put up some bathroom shelves which were not quite as I expected and he willingly remade them for me. We would happily recommend Luke's work and his wife, Connie's excellent customer service.
Luke has just renovated my porch, front door and windows, including the complete replacement of one window. It was great to watch a real craftsman at work and know that the repairs are done to last. I was bracing myself for real upheaval, but to be honest most of the time you could barely tell there was work going on - things were kept clean and tidy and there was a minimum of noise. Also great communication re dates, payment schedule etc. - very happy. Looking forward to the final leg - the back door!
Luke was invited to quote for soundproofing a wall in a room where the internal geography made this problematic. The solution he proposed and installed achieved very good results given the restrictions. He proved to be punctual and hard-working and the job was completed to time and within budget. He has a pleasant and accommodating manner. I would have no hesitation about employing him again for carpentry work.
Luke replaced the springs in our sash windows. They are wooden double glazed sash windows and we were unable to open them before Luke replaced the springs. Now they are working as they should and can be opened without any effort. Luke did what we asked him to do, he saved us money on the springs, he was prompt on fitting us in when we gave him the go ahead. We are more than satisfied with the work.
Luke restored our wooden latticework porch to a very high standard. He was meticulous with his preparation of the woodwork prior to painting and with repairs to the wood and lattice which had rotted. The finished paintwork was of high quality. He worked hard and always turned upon time.
Luke repaired and overhauled 3 of our dilapidated sash windows last summer and I would definitely recommend him. He is a true craftsman with very high standards, doesn't cut corners and works extremely hard.
Luke carried out works when we renovated our new flat. He fitted the kitchen, which involved lots of tricky problem soliving and did an amazing and complicated tiling job in our bathroom. Luke is a stickler for detail and quality finish. He works hard and long hours to get the job dine. Thanks Luke.
Luke restored our Sash windows. The attention to detail and finish was excellent- before you consider replacing windows, consider asking Luke to restore. Luke will be busy with many other jobs for us now!
Luke replaced three of our sash windows in our 1827 house. He did an excellent job, showing his skill as a carpenter and clearly enjoys restoration work in an old house. Since then he has carried out other restoration work and is our regular carpenter. We have no hesitation in recommending him.
