I can highly recommend Luke! He taught my daughter guitar and made learning fun which inspired her to practice, something which had been missing with previous teachers. He ensures quick progress and helped her gain a distinction in her Rockschool electric guitar exam. A lovely guy who has an infectious passion for music.

After spending a lot of time trying to teach myself guitar via books and Dvds with no success I decided to find someone who could help me out. Being female, very much a beginner with a basic electric guitar I worried about finding a group I would feel comfortable in but I needn't have worried at all. Luke is a very talented guitarist with a great teaching style - he is able to make the lesson fun and enjoyable for all abilities, with a mix of theory and practical elements to his lessons I went away from my first lesson being able to read a tab and have a better all round understanding of what I was doing. I would highly recommend Luke, a patient professional guitar teacher for all ages and abilities.

I went to Luke’s guitar classes as an absolute beginner, I couldn’t play a thing. With Luke’s patient and easy teaching style I was reading guitar tabs after the first lesson. I could also get a tune out of my guitar. I am five weeks in and I love it. Luke is very knowledgeable and friendly, oh, and he is also a brilliant guitarist. Couldn’t recommend high enough. Not only is Luke a most accomplished guitarist but he is also an excellent teacher. I have been attending his group lessons for several years and have also had one-to-one tuition. I continue to learn something new every time.

Luke has taught for us here at the school for many years as part of our Adult Education programme. He is a well respected tutor. Many of his students return term after term to his classes. We would not have any reservations in recommending Luke's lessons for all ages and abilities. He is a professional, patient and really likable person able to relate to all age groups.

Being a pensioner with arthritic hands I have been struggling with the guitar and other tutors just having a strict "I know best attitude" who may be brilliant guitar players but do not know how to teach. Luke can adapt to the individual and adjust his teaching to suit, he has been brilliant for me. We now have progress and even rewriting music to fit my limited ability due to the arthritis.

A very professional tutor who clearly takes pride in every student he teaches. Luke has a very good subject knowledge with excellent qualifications to exemplify this. Not only is Luke very patient with his teaching approach he also works tirelessly to achieve the best grades for his students with a pass rate that is second to none. Luke is reliable and he teaches a range of instruments including electric/acoustic guitar, ukulele, banjo and bass guitar. Definitely a tutor I would recommend!
