Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel

Abi took great care of my two cats recently, it was their first visit to a cat hotel and they came back very happy and relaxed. I don't have access to a car so Abi also arranged transport to and from the cat hotel, working around my availability which was much appreciated. One of my kitties gets travel stress and motion sickness which has bothered other car services I have used in the past, but it was no trouble for the Longcroft team. They were on hand to clean him up on arrival and gave me a call as well as a picture to let me know both were settling in well. I'm very happy with the service and will use again.

We are so happy to have found Abi and her beautiful cat hotel. Our two cats stayed for the first time recently and seemed to settle in immediately. We were pleasantly surprised to hear from Abi while we were away informing us that they were quite happy and totally chilled. This type of reassurance, the wonderful setting and Abi's genuine love and knowledge of cats makes this Hotel by far the best we have ever come across and we have owned cats for many years. Worried about leaving my cat for the first time and full of guilt at abandoning him, from the moment Fred arrived I knew that a) he would be fine and b) perhaps would not be missing me. Fred had a great stay at Longcroft and returned happy, relaxed and pampered. Beautiful facilities and personal attention for your cat. Sapphy had a great time and obviously enjoyed her stay. Having inherited a cat it is a responsibility to keep it in the manner to which it has become accustomed and Abi has created a home from home. Really a place an owner can leave a cat and have peace of mind. Highly recommended. .

Our sensitive pair of pedigrees were unused to boarding so we were nervous about leaving them. As soon as we arrived our minds were at rest. They were obviously going to be well looked after. And they were. Abi was happy for us to stay in touch and even sent a cute picture of them relaxing comfortably! Planning our next trip will be much less stressful. Thanks Abi. See you again soon! I recently moved house and knew that this could potentially be both unsettling and hazardous for my two cats, Leo (15) and Boo (12), particularly as there was work to be done in the new flat. My vet recommended Longcroft and from the moment I spoke to Abi I knew all would be well. She went out of her way to ensure space would be available for Leo and Boo and cared for them as though they were her own. I was able to visit them too, and saw for myself how comfortable and contented they were in their very luxurious surroundings! They were with Abi for six weeks in all and I really missed them. But when they returned, to a completely new environment, they settled in very quickly and there have been no traumas! I would not hesitate to send Leo and Boo on holiday with Abi again, and would very happily recommend Longcroft.

Having two rescue cats, we were desperate not to board them somewhere where they would think we had abandoned them; so coming across Longcroft was a dream come true! Clean, warm, cosy, spacious and good food and entertainment makes it a home-from-home from our cats. Abi is amazing, a real animal lover - my timid cat was soon eating treats from her hands! We can now go on holiday and feel guilt-free.

We recently left our 2 beautiful and much loved companions, Mr Darcy and Lizzy, in Abi's care for 2 weeks and didn't worry a bit about them (although we did miss them! ) as we have previously used the Longcroft St Albans cat hotel where Gill looked after them splendidly last summer and these 2 cat hotels are identical in layout, rooms etc. They are able to look out into the garden and watch the birds just as they do at home. Mr Darcy is on a constant diet as he is prone to weight gain and Abi spent time with him at feeding times to make sure he did not steal Lizzy's food! They settled back in at home within a few minutes so we knew they had been well looked after. Booked in again for June in St Albans as Abi is booked up for the dates we wanted.

This has to be the best cattery ever. Our 6 month old kitten stayed here for four days and we all loved it. Excellent cat accommodation and every need is catered for. The staff play with the cats several times a day and our kitten couldn't have been happier. We will definitely use Longcroft cat hotel again and recommend it to friends.

With a lot of trepidation I left my 18 year old very nervous cat in the care of Longcroft for a week at the beginning of this month. I need not have worried, despite her being traumatised by a previous stay at another cattery, I brought home a well fed, warm and cosy, very contented little cat. Abi was kindness itself and Jackie really seemed to take to her and thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Longcroft. I would have no hesitation in recommending Longcroft to any other over-anxious owner.

Absolutely wonderful cattery. We had problems with the last cattery we used so we're worried about putting our cat in one again but Abi was excellent! She really put our mind at ease - the rooms were great spacious and comfortable and it was obvious when we collected our cat that he had been given a lot of attention - he didn't seem to want to leave! Will most definitely be using the cat hotel again!

It was the first time we went away on holiday with genuine peace of mind, knowing our beloved Daphne was being cared for and all her personal needs and quirky ways attended to. Abi is delightfully kind and accommodating, her compassion and empathy with cats clearly shines through. A couple of 'hello' emails and relaxed photos from Daphne whilst we were away, were reassuring and made us smile. It was lovely to see Daphne arrive back home in a very calm, happy state of mind - not something we had previously witnessed from her stay with other catteries. I can not tell you how happy we are with the care and love you and your fantastic staff lavished on Molly and Poppy. We haven't been on a proper holiday for 13 years because we have never found anywhere that we felt secure in the knowledge that our gorgeous fur babies would be well looked after. As soon as we walked in with them to drop them off on our way to the airport we knew the Longcroft was the right place. What a beautiful calm atmosphere you have created. It was so clear that all your resident kitty's were so chilled out and happy. When ever we have left the girls at a cattery before we have picked them up and its been so apparent that they've been nothing but distressed, they've only just really had food shoved in their pens and had no proper interaction with people or been truly cared for. It took us days and days to get them back to normal. Molly wouldn't eat for days on end afterwards and Poppy just clung to us for love and had a fluffy huff for weeks for leaving her. When the chauffeur dropped them off myself and Mark were astounded. Not only were that both curled up asleep in their carriers, they actually to our embarrassment looked better than before we dropped them off! Both just rolled out of their carriers and carried on the day as if they hadn't been away. They are so so contented. I'm wondering if you and Tom might have been giving them some deep tissue massages?It's clear that they have had constant love and affection, as well as being spoilt rotten! They are now expecting this 5* treatment at home!Myself and Mark and of course Poppy and Molly can not thank you enough. We had a wonderful holiday and we've both said its because we weren't worried in the slightest about them. I honestly don't think they wanted to come home. We have finally found someone and somewhere that loves our cats as much as we do. I'm going to book another holiday for 2014 so will book the girls in with you. We had a special request for Longcroft and it was to look after our 15 year old cat (Henry) for 12 months whilst we fulfilled an ambition of travelling the world. We had one condition to be meet before we would even commit to travelling and it was that we found suitable care and accommodation for our special little man - the kind of care and love that he gets at home. Abi showed us around Longcroft and we were impressed with the size, look and feel of the guest rooms - everywhere was so well kept, extremely clean, had lots of natural light and the guests that were there looked really happy and content. Abi was just lovely, answered all of our questions and didn't apply any pressure on us to make such a big decision. From that point we knew if Henry stayed at Longcroft he would be treated like a king and we could have worry free travels - so we booked him in. From the minute Henry arrived we were really surprised at how quickly he settled - it was like he had been there before and he didn't really seem to care whether we were there or not! So after many tears we left and Abi and her team did all the work and what a grand job they did too. We regularly received photos and email updates of how Henry was doing which was incredibly reassuring - he was getting on great and his behaviour was exactly the same as it was at home so his personality wasn't changing. One of our close friends paid Henry a visit half way through his stay and she couldn't believe how happy and content he was. He was so spoilt he even got 'Bupa style' health care with a home visit from the vet for his annual booster!After missing Henry for almost a year, the time arrived to collect him and we were very excited! Henry looked exactly the same (well, except a few extra grey hairs but I had a few more too!) and you could tell just by looking at him that he had been incredibly well looked after. He had even been spoilt with a Christmas stocking, easter egg and daily grooming! It was so wonderful to see him in the same condition as we left him. As soon as he got home and had a wander around the house it was like he had never been away, his old routine returned very very quickly and his personality had not changed a bit - all of this is down to the wonderful care he received at Longcroft and we can't thank them enough. Without Longcroft we would not have been able to fulfil one of our life ambitions - so thank you. Henry will be back to see Abi and the team when we go off on future holidays - there is absolutely no where else we would want him to stay now. If you are considering Longcroft to look after your furry little friend(s) for a while - don't hesitate, just do it - we are so glad we did.Moreexpand_more

It's not easy leaving your cat to go on holiday when they've just undergone surgery, are under the vets for various ailments or are going through a period of being unwell. This is our usual predicament with our gorgeous, elderly cat Poppy. However, since being recommended Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel we have been able to enjoy our holidays knowing that our cat would be looked after so well. No request is too much for Abi and we've always been able to secure solutions to ensure that Poppy's needs are met, including specifically cooked meals, pills being administered, frequent feeds and even a visit to the vets. Without Abi looking after Poppy so wonderfully we would not be able to go away without peace of mind that Poppy would be cared for so well. The service is exemplary and so accommodating. Poppy is always very happy going on her holiday and enjoys lots of the creature comforts that the Hotel provides including her heated bed. There is no doubt in my mind that Abi loves our cat almost as much as we do and probably more whilst she's in her care and we always know that she will do whatever she can to ensure that Poppy remains in good condition and healthy - not always an easy task for us! I would highly recommend using Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel as it definitely provides the luxury that our fur babies deserve - just book early as it is very popular!Moreexpand_more

We put our ginger moggie "Missy" into longcroft because she is a house cat and very precious (literally). Last year when my husband and I put her into a cattery for the first time she came home so sick, she couldnt breathe, she was sneezing and coughing and couldnt even meow. She wasnt her friendly, happy self either. So at that moment I vowed to never put her in there again and that I will only go for a cat hotel. We just came back from our holiday this year and couldnt have been happier with everything. The "suite" she stayed in was comfortable, warm and much like home. She normally is on dried food but we paid to treat her to a meal off the a la cat menu which I am sure she loved. Abi was so friendly and really made it clear she would look after missy which put our minds at ease whilst we were on our holidays. She will definately be going back. My cat looked very happy and healthy when I got her home. She was very spoilt whilst at Longcroft and was very well looked after. I would recommend Longcroft to anyone who wants their cat treated like royalty.

It was the first time that we had left Lulu our 1 yr old cat for any length of time and we were quite nervous of how things were going to go. We could not have been any happier with the way things went at Longcroft, Lulu stayed for two weeks. The service was exceptional and very personal and Abi was a star, she really took the time to talk to us and find out about our cat and her needs, likes and dislikes and her overall personality (Lulu is a house cat and is very spolit and very particular! ). We have already booked into the new sister hotel at Haywards Heath for Lulus Christmas stay, and we highly recommend The Longcroft.

Thank you so much Abi for taking such good care of Jack. He clearly had a good time with you and when we got him home, slipped straight back into his normal routine (something we had worried about). Since being home we have had a pigeon and two sparrows as a "treat"! You know how nervous we were having leave him, and you did all you could to reassure us and ensure that we left him knowing that he was safe, warm, and loved. All the best! I spent 4 weeks and 6 visits to local catteries and was horrified at what I experienced. I was about to cancel my holiday when I went online and found Longcroft Welwyn. Being an overprotective 'Mummy' to my gorgeous British Blue boy Mr 'B' (AKA 'Blake')I called Abi who instantly reassured me about Longcroft and the attention to detail and service my precious boy would receive. She even invited me over for a visit prior to his stay. It was immaculate, beautifully presented and Abi herself was warm, friendly and she obviously adored all her kitties! Im sure I asked too many questions and drove her mad with emails but never once did she mind and always answered my queries straight away. When Mr B arrived for his stay he instantly took to his new 'chalet' and loved Abi and her cuddles! The dreamies and treats went down well too and within minutes he was settled and playing happily. I also recieved regular email updates about what my boy was up to so I enjoyed my holiday and did not worry at all. When I went to pick him up he didnt want to come home! He settled back at home nicely with no side effects of being away and has even asked when his next holiday will be! I have since recommended Longcroft to my breeder and lots of other friends who would be willing to travel becuase you would never find anything better.
