East Midlands Karate provide a structured course in martial arts for beginners up to black belt. The course is ideal for someone who is lacking in self-confidence or who wants to improve their fitness and flexibility. The emphasis is on self-control and perserverence. The club is aimed at the whole family, so everyone is made to feel valued and welcome.

I started Judo just over a year ago with my youngest son. In that year I've made some good friends with both students and instructors. My fitness & stamina have improved and it is by far the one day of the week that I really look forward to. Yes I usually come away with a limp or bruise of some part of my body but I have great fun getting them (what should I expect at 45). I have found that I've developed in myself and have accomplished a lot, winning gold place positions in grappling at two major competitions against people that have been practising martial arts for a lot longer than me. I'd recommend this club to anybody interested in taking up martial arts as a past time. The instructors are very helpful & friendly, giving you that extra time and tuition to get something just right.

East Midlands Karate (Long Eaton Branch) is a great family club. The atmosphere is supportive with students at all levels making great progress. The instructors are highly qualified, friendly, approachable and above all professional. The club looks to develop it's students in all aspects of their lives, including self confidence, co-ordination and fitness to name but a few. Heartily recommended.

Very friendly club, professional instructors. Great for all ages and fitness levels. I go with my whole family, so mixed ages. Up until joining i would not have been able to maintain the amount of physical excersise i now can.

Everything about the club was explained in great detail before we took our first class. We knew what to expect and the first lesson was explained very well. We even had a few free classes free to help us decide if it was right for us. Great service, and a good family atmosphere.
