Little Brown Mouse provides qualified restoration and /or conservation of all types of ceramics. China, Porcelain and Earthenware objects can all be repaired by Little Brown Mouse. Gilding and French Polishing and other resurfacing treatments of furniture are also a speciality, to clients throughout Bath and local areas. Set up in 2001 the company has 12 years of experience in the antique market. All ceramic items are assessed before treatment commences, and an appropriate treatment plan is agreed with the client. It is not necessary for your china to be an antique. Many items hold sentimental attachments and as such are normally worth restoring. Quotes are free within a reasonable travelling distance, and work is carried out to a professional high standard with affordable prices.

Little Brown Mouse is managed by Ruth Lee who has a background in art. Ruth trained as a French Polisher at The Midland School of French Polishing then gained a BA Honours degree in the highly regarded course of Conservation and Restoration from The University of Lincoln, where she specialised in ceramics and gilding.

All work is carried out within conservation ethics guidelines, using appropriate materials and treatments.

Work has been undertaken for private clients, antique dealers and stately homes.
