Liondell was established to provide business to business services to UK and International clients.
We have over 30 years experience in the global plastics moulding industry. Some of the sectors that we have served are automotive, electrical, lighting, packaging and domestic appliance markets.

Consultancy.

Product Design | Moldflow | Design for Manufacture.

Making sure that the product is feasible for manufacture is essential to ensure that the client gets exactly what they require functionally and aesthetically from the end product.
Attention is focused on a robust tool design and moulding method which creates a sound base for a successful project.

Injection Mould Tooling.

Our tools are sourced from established and experienced suppliers.
Quality is paramount and the specification is strictly adhered to.
As the tooling is usually imported to a manufacturing site in the UK, any fittings or standard mould items that are used can be sourced locally during the production life of the tools.

Injection Moulding.

We will supply samples parts from the tooling usually in 3 stages.
The first being initial sample phase (T1).
The second after any tweaks and corrections (T2).
The final stage being samples that are approved for mass production (T3) This may include further dimensional adjustments and finished polish, texture or engraving to the surfaces of the mould in order to provide a part that is accurate to dimensions and aesthetically correct.
Subsequently, the tooling is usually shipped to the suppliers manufacturing site of choice which could be anywhere in the world. Our logistics providers will handle this efficiently.
We will then provide local tool checks before the tools are delivered and attend trials at the client facility to ensure support until tools are finally approved.

Project Management.

A typical Automotive project may take over a year from initial enquiry until full approval.
Other industries may not require the same amount of attention.
However, at Liondell we treat all projects the same with attention to detail at every stage.
All processes are monitored and completed in a methodical sequence. Using a proven project development template which has been fine tuned over many years, we keep the client informed at key stages and submit weekly timing plans generated from MS project software.
