I’ve done several language courses over the years but this has definitely been one of the best, if not the best. I’m doing intermediate Italian, and so far the pace of teaching (quite fast but I like that), as well as the content has been excellent. It’s well structured, and our teacher has been excellent, she explains things clearly and is very patient, and lessons are very well prepared. Many courses I have attended have been lacking in structure but this course has an excellent balance between the fundamentals of grammar and fun stuff to help us learn.
Lingua Diversa is an excellent language school. Learning Italian is so enjoyable. Giulia is a fantastic teacher with an excellent teaching style. I really am learning and I am so happy with the course. I also really like the small class size as it is very comfortable allowing more meaningful time with teacher and students and helps with confidence to speak the language. The other students are really nice. Sebastian T.
I spent a few fantastic months at Lingua Diversa learning Italian. Great location and the quality of teaching was good - for someone who was going for fun it was not too serious and Giulia always made the environment fun and positive. What a shame I was totally let down by Lucio who runs the school. I received several extremely rude emails when I requested to change classes. Appalling customer service - hugely letting down his great teachers.
I have been a student with Lingua Diversa for some years. The groups are always small, four to six students, and are taught by friendly, highly skilled teachers who always prepare interesting and varied materials to support your learning. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have studied Spanish with Lingua Diversa for the past 5 years and have particularly enjoyed the consistency of having only two tutors over that time. The small classes are both fun and inspiring and always welcoming and well-paced for the typical cross-section of like-minded students from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. It is a pleasure to be taught by tutors who really care, working for an organisation with such a strong reputation.
I have been very impressed with German lessons at Lingua Diversa. Gerda is an exceptionally encouraging tutor, and lessons are fun (to the extent that I can still persuade myself to go after an arduous day in the office). The pace is perhaps not the fastest, but the lessons are responsive to the standard of the group. The 90min classes are the right length and are supplemented by between 30-60mins homework each week. I would highly recommend them for beginner and intermediate speakers of German.
I feel happy and at ease in the class which makes learning easier. The material used is very interesting and the teaching excellent. Everybody is included equally in conversations making the class a very happy and useful experience and my Spanish speaking friends say my Spanish has improved a lot.
I have studied Spanish at Lingua Diversa for a few years now. The classes are small and you get plenty of opportunity to practise speaking. The methods used are entertaining and topical and the one and a half hours just fly by. I have already recommended them several times to friends and acquaintances.
The tuition is to a high standard and the course teachers are flexible and understanding to your ability. The class sizes are small and so this allows for more interaction with the teacher. I have had a really great experience throughout the course and I am looking forward to continuing my Italian language learning with Lingua Diversa.
I was in the Brazilian group with a fantastic teacher, Angelica! Lessons are always well prepared, entertaining, adapted to students need and in a short period of time, we had lot of useful information! Thanks to this class, I was able to start communicating with my mother in law ! I was very happy with the service and will definitely use it again Muito Obrigado. Emmanuel.
What was good: - It was clear that the teacher had developed exercises which were suited to the ability of the class;- It was clear that effort had been made to pre-plan the lesson prior to each class (based on the ability level of the class);- Instruction was delivered in Spanish. I personally have found that this has improved my ability to understand spoken Spanish. Where necessary instructions were also repeated in English to ensure that the class understood the activities which were set. - Staff are friendly and helpful. There are also occasional Spanish-speaking social events, which are arranged by the college - to allow students to practice their language skills.
The teacher was enthusiastic enough to make Monday night classes unbelievably enjoyable. Really great teacher, but unfortunately I found the course not be intensive enough, with different beginner standards slowing the overall progression of the class. £180 is a fairly large sum of money, and to only cover 10 pages of a textbook in 10 weeks didn't seem intense enough. I would love to do another term, as I am loving Portugese, but don't feel I can justify spending another £200. Obrigado Lingua Diversa and Gisele ! X.
The Brazilian Portuguese Level A1. 2 was great fun! Gisele, our teacher was enthusiastic and worked to help us with our pronunciation and to identify common rules. I learnt a lot in a relaxed, enjoyable environment (much required after a long day at work)! - Lisa.
