We came to discuss a new coffee supplier. We left with a renewed passion for delivering exceptional quality to our customers. We thought we knew how to make good coffee, after 10 minutes with Howard we now have an insight into making exceptional coffee. With no deliberate marketing push our sales have already increased (in a week) purely by word of mouth. We're looking forward to having you guys train all our staff. We're delighted with our new business relationship and look forward to developing it further. Neil & Lauren - The Nought E Food Co, York.

I recently attended the "how to start a coffee shop" two day training course. After being quite a novice when it came to coffee, I found this course extremely helpful. It's given me confidence not only in using the espresso machines but in every aspect of running a coffee shop, Youri and Howard couldn't of been more helpful. David Baldwin-01/02 november 2010.

Hi Youri, Howard,Thanks again to you both for your hospitality on |Thursday. It was definitely my gain and Roberts lost ,Due his train delays. I know Howard offered to make up any short falls in Roberts exposure to his skills once I had left. I benefitted greatly from the course and enjoyed being around fellow addicts. The setup and cleanliness of my machine seemed so far out it made me laugh. Once I cleaned up and dialled the grinder in, I can now rest assured that I have the tools to make a really acceptable coffee. Brilliant course and I will feed back on the beans. The latte Art is coming on a treat ( see attached image)Best regards Keith Adams - Scarborough.

We recently attended a half day barista training session with Youri. The communication leading up to the training and the quality of the training itself was fantastic. We got to have Youri all to ourselves which was invaluable to us as a new business. He was very personable which made the training that much more enjoyable. He took loads of pictures which we can now use in our shop. By the end our heads were filled with loads of information and we were producing latte art - very exciting! Seeing the roasting process was a great experience for us as well. Thanks Youri! Tracey & MikaelBeanzz.

I recently attended a morning's barista training session with Youri at Limini Coffee. There were two other attendees and we were all treated to Youri's passion and enthusiasm about the coffee making process. The training also included a visit to the on site roastery and an explanation of the roasting process. We were then let loose on the espresso machine and before too long were able to produce fantastic looking and tasting coffee and also latte art. I would thoroughly recommend the course to anyone about to start working in a coffee shop (like me) and also to anyone already working in the industry.

A fantastic Coffee Training Session, I learnt a great deal on 'everything coffee'. Youri is an excellent trainer, makes the session fun, very relevant and teaches you the best practices. Excellent.

I attended the Barista training as we have had an expresso machine for over 2 years and although we were producing coffee I felt we were not doing it quite right. After attending the training at Limini realise just how bad the coffee was that we were producing. The course was excellent and gave me a much more detailed knowledge about all aspects of producing excellent coffee. Well worth the 6 and half hour round trip from Cumbria. Thanks Limini.

I recently attended a one-to-one barista training day with Youri. Experienced in many cafe environments I thought I knew a lot about Coffee, however Youri was able to improve on my knowledge as well as introduce me to several new skills related to the industry such as roasting and latte art.

Had one of Youri's evening classes with both of us working full time, The course taught us a lot more about making great coffee than we realised. Youri lets you learn at your own pace & learn by your own mistakes. We now feel more comfortable about serving great tasting coffee & not just a good coffee. You will be surprised how much you learn ( we was ).

Several months ago we attended a barista course with Youri-it was fantastic and inspired us to go ahead with plans to open a coffee shop! Fast forward to now a week before Lilly`s is due to open and we were stuggling with our machine and grinder-we approached a local so callled coffee expert(only 5 miles away from our home)and they couldnt be bothered to help us! So we telephoned Youri who gave us some fab advice on the phone and sent us some fantastic FRESH coffee beans-then above and beyond the call of duty Youri came to see us personally. Youri is a gentleman-nothing is to much trouble and he has the patience of a saint! What a credit to Limini Coffee-we may only be a small business but Youri really cares and is passionate about Coffee! Can`t thank you enough Youri-Your a star! Thanks Pete and Sue xx.

Excellent, what a great day. My wife and I both attended the barista training with Youri. We are newbies to the coffee business having recently set up our mobile coffee shop. When we purchased our coffee machine from a different supplier it included 'barista training', so after the training we thought we knew what we were doing! However, after initially meeting Youri for a morning coffee tasting session with a view to future supplies, we were fortunate that two people booked on the afternoon course had to cancel and we were able to get on the course at short notice. We learnt so much more, had lots of practice, got to work as a team with the other student on the course, which was fun and competitive. Who produced the best latte art? As other people have said Youri has a lot of experience and knows his stuff, and more importantly he can get it across very well. We came away rejuvenated, enthusiastic, and with extra useful knowledge about the coffee business. What we also took away is some of Youri's enthusiasm for coffee, you don't find that in the training schedule.Along with others I strongly recommend Youri's training, give him a call. Thanks Youri, Mike and Donna.Moreexpand_more

I attended the two day training course with Youri, and it was fantastic. His knowledge of coffee and the industry makes him an invaluable resource for anyone looking to start up in this business. Youri's style is relaxed and accommodating, and he is patient with those who can't master latte art! The two days were really good value, and with only four people doing the training, there was plenty of time for each of us. We were allowed as much coffee and milk to practice with as we needed (which added to the great value) and I think everyone learnt a huge amount. The less practical aspects took the form of round-table discussions (rather than "lectures" and Youri had an answer, based on real-life experience, for everything. Where he wasn't sure (the intricacies of tax law! ) he said so. Overall, I believe this course delivered great value; Youri is there to help you, rather than to 'sell' to you. As and when my coffee shop gets going, Youri will be my first port of call for equipment and training. If you're thinking of doing the course, do it.Moreexpand_more

We were a group of three on the "How to start a coffee shop" 2-day course. I'm probably at least a year off opening my own place and I wanted to go on this course to give myself a broader understanding of what I'll be letting myself in for. For me the course was perfect. Youri's a fun and interesting trainer with a genuine enthusiasm and interest in quality coffee. I can't think of anything that wasn't covered as part of the training or after questions. We made (and drank! ) A LOT of coffee. Great mix of barista training and business info. Thank you Youri, a hugely enjoyable two days packed with great coffee, information and resources.

Just had a brilliant day with some one on one training with Youri. This guy knows how to bang out some great tasting coffees and by the end of the day I wasn't doing a bad job of it myself all down to his effortless guidance. A serious emphasis was placed on the importance of the grinder as well as the espresso machine and their daily set up. Along the way we chatted about the coffee shop business with a few reality checks. Youri's enthusiasm for quality coffee, friendly nature and sense of humour made it a fun day and I learnt a lot. Many thanks. Danny.

Our barista training day was intense, demanding and hugely rewarding. Youri combines his passion for top quality coffee with a forensic dissection of every tiny part of the coffee brewing process. You get masses of hands-on experience and cannot fail to come away inspired and motivated. And what's more it's really good fun!

Wow! We spent a day training with Youri and from the moment we met him we felt at ease. It quickly became apparent that not only is his knowledge second to none, he is a really nice guy. By the end of the day we were pulling the best shots of espresso we had tasted, but more importantly we understood the factors that can effect how good or bad an espresso tastes. Came away buzzing, could hardly sleep with excitement - thanks for a great day! Steve & Jill.

Our barista training day was exceptionally good value. The course was very well presented with plenty of practical demonstrations to illustrate the theory behind coffee making. Youri started by making us some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. Straight after, we were attempting espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc, following Youri's logical programme. By the end of the day we were all making delicious coffee. We left with a goldmine of information. All in all, a very satisfying experience that was well delivered and would benefit anyone with an interest in coffee.

I recently participated in the barista training course. I had bought myself an espresso machine at home and, whilst my coffee was acceptable, I felt that I could benefit from some professional assistance. On arriving, we had a brief informal chat and then got straight to business. Youri started by making the best coffee I'd ever tasted and went through every single aspect of how to prepare it so that by the end of the course we were making them almost as well ourselves. I learnt an enormous amount about setting up the machine, the grind, the tamp, extraction times, different types of coffee, the roasting process and steaming and pouring milk. I particularly enjoyed the section on latte art. Although replicating the results on my inferior home equipment will be difficult I now possess the knowledge to diagnose the problems. I would thoroughly recommend the course to both home users and coffee shop owners as there was certainly something for everyone.
