The LIFE-FORCE Centre is a professional private BACP Accredited Counselling Service and Counselling School in Colchester, Essex. The LIFE-FORCE Organisation was founded in 1990, the Centre was established in 1994, the School of Counselling was formed in 1995, the Counselling Training Programme gained BACP accreditation in February 2005 and the Therapeutic Counselling Service gained BACP accreditation in March 2007.

LIFE-FORCE offers a variety of therapeutic counselling approaches, including; person-centred, integrative and psychodynamic which can help with a wide range of conditions. Counselling can help with bereavement, depression, stress, anger management, redundancy, family conflict, bullying and much more. We offer counselling to individuals, couples and families as well as children and teenagers. The LIFE-FORCE Counselling Team currently comprises of over 24 fully qualified counsellors along with several mature trainee counsellors on placement at the centre. These trainees can offer a low cost service to anyone over the age of 18 (subject to GP approval, which LIFE-FORCE arranges the paperwork for). Referrals from organisations and GP surgeries are always welcomed. LIFE-FORCE also offers a business service which is free to employers, you just need to request a business pack either via telephone or email.

The LIFE-FORCE Centre also runs a counselling school which offers an Integrative Counselling Course. This is a BACP Accredited Programme and meets the BACP Gold Book Standards. No previous experience or qualifications are needed to apply for the Stage 2 Introduction to Counselling course. Applications from students from all backgrounds are welcomed as LIFE-FORCE believes students with diverse cultural experiences enrich the learning environment. Candidates applying to join the course at Stage 2, 3 or 4 must be at least 21 years old.

The LIFE-FORCE Counselling Training Programme gained BACP Accreditation in February 2005.
The Therapeutic Counselling Service gained BACP Accreditation in March 2007.

Clients who use the LIFE-FORCE Counselling Service come from all walks of life; from the homeless to company directors. Ages range from the under fives to OAPs in their 90s. We offer counselling to individuals, couples, families, children and teenagers. There is no 'typical' client; one client may have just suffered a bereavement or loss while another may be the victim of domestic abuse. We welcome clients from all ethnic backgrounds and we cater for those with special needs or disabilities.

Nicole Joyce is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor.
She is the Director and Centre Manager.
Nicky is a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and has been running LIFE-FORCE since 1998.

LIFE-FORCE offers counselling for a wide range of conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress and much more. We offer counselling to individuals, couples and families as well as children and adolescents.

LIFE-FORCE can offer low cost counselling to those over the age of 18 who have GP consent (LIFE-FORCE will arrange the paperwork for this).
