Lesley Dever

Lesley supervised my counselling practise as a trainee counsellor face-to-face and beyond through skype. I appreciate her balanced consideration of the situation, her openness and honesty - also in sharing her long standing experience - and her ability to articulate her thoughts with a lot of warmth and care. She has been a great role model for me in how to be real and relational in challenging situations.

Lesley Dever was my counselling supervisor for 10 years until she decided to leave Glasgow for her new life in Italy. I knew from the moment the shook my hand so warmly on first meeting that she would be able to "hold" anything I brought to her. Lesley had such an articulate and gentle way of "challenging" me that at first I didn't even realise that she was doing so! The fact that I stayed with her for so long is, I believe, testament to the value I placed on her services. She never let me down, and I'm sure that in whatever capacity you are using her services, you won't be disappointed.

My experience was very positive when I met with Lesley from Stepping off for a time of personal counselling . Previously I had known her through her Corporate work and had no hesitation in recommending her services to friends and family but when I found myself overwhelmed by life I was sure of where to go for some sound advice and support. Lesley provided a great environment for us to meet in and also allowed me plenty of space to express myself . My only problem was that the time went by so quickly. I don't meet with Lesley now and feel much more in control of where I am but if I found myself once again overwhelmed with life or facing a new challenge I would not hesitate to contact her and seek her counsel once more.
