About Les Pourciaux Cottage Alderney
Operating for over ten years, Les Pourciaux Cottage offers luxury self catering accommodation for up to 4 adults in Alderney, one of the smaller and lesser known Channel Islands, to individuals who are looking for a truly special holiday. The island of Alderney is part of the Channel Islands and is situated very close to France and yet only 60 miles from the south coast of the UK. Alderney offers gorgeous white sand beaches with beautiful clear blue seas, cliff walks, birdwatching, swimming, clycling, fishing and plenty of other activities. On the island one feels a true sense of calm. The scenery is spectacular, the sunsets amazing and the local people friendly. This is a unique place which feels far from the madding crowd and yet in reality is only a stone's throw from the UK. Les Pourciaux Cottage customers, who fall under the spell of Alderney's unique charms, come back year after year - once you're hooked the place can really get under your skin!
The cottage offers visitors from the UK a home from home almost on their doorstep in a beautiful, unspoilt environment. The welcome is friendly and personal and the cottage is equipped with all the facilities one would expect on a luxury island hide-away.
The company is run by Gill Trousdale who has been living on Alderney for approximately 17 years. She and her husband Nigel Dupont live on the property and decided to offer self catering in their adjoining cottage in order to share with visitors what they consider to be one of the most beautiful and secluded spots on the island.
Les Pourciaux Cottage opened in later summer 2010 and summer gets booked up in advance. Book early if you are looking for July and August holidays.
Les Pourciaux Cottage is currently closed but will reopen on 1 April 2021. Contact us for information on availability for 2021.
