About Leigh Ju-Jitsu
Established in 1998, Leigh Ju-Jitsu is a martial arts club in Leigh, Lancashire that specialises in Japanese Ju-Jitsu.
Japanese Ju-Jitsu incorporates many different aspects of combat, including throws, joints locks, ground grappling (newaza) and weaponry. The style practiced is Atemi Ju-Jitsu. Atemi means striking, and thus punches, elbows, knees, kicks and others strikes are taught as part of the syllabus.
Leigh Ju-Jitsu holds several classes a week for adults and children with private lessons also available on a one-to-one basis or with small groups.
Run by owner Sensei Alan Francis (6th Dan), Leigh Ju-Jitsu is based off Railway Road in Leigh, down the alleyway at the side of Banks Funerals at the back of Findlay Street.
The classes are perfect for anyone looking to learn vital self defence skills, as well as an opportunity to make new friends, grow your confidence, lose weight and get fit.
