Terry Lambert has 35 years’ experience in the heating industry, including British Gas experience and is manufacture trained across Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Viessmann, Ideal, Glow-worm, Baxi and Intergas boilers.
We take a preventative approach to boiler servicing. The aim is not simply to confirm that a boiler is operating on the day of the service, but to assess its condition, identify developing issues where possible and maintain the appliance before faults become breakdowns.
Boiler Service Plan and ongoing care.
Customers who use Lambert Heating and Renewables for boiler servicing become part of our service family. For the purposes of our Boiler Service Plan, this means a boiler that is regularly serviced by Lambert Heating and Renewables and has an up-to-date service record with us.

First level boiler service.
A first level boiler service includes checks appropriate to the boiler, it’s condition and the manufacture’s servicing requirements.
Checks can include:
Visual inspection of the boiler, flue and accessible components.
Expansion vessel condition and pressure.
Condensate trap and condensate system.
Combustion analysis where required.
Burner and heat exchanger condition where applicable.
Case seals and gaskets.
Operating pressures and boiler operation.
Safety devices.
Heating and hot water operation.
Heating controls.
System water condition and inhibitor check.
Filter cleaned where fitted.
Radiator operation and bleed where required.
26/9 regulation checks.
Checks for common faults and developing problems.
Not every boiler requires exactly the same service procedure. The work required depends on the appliance, manufacture’s instructions, age, condition and previous service history.
Second level boiler servicing.
Lambert Heating also carries out second level boiler servicing where a boiler requires more detailed cleaning, inspection, dismantling or preventative maintenance.
A second level service may be required or recommended because of the boiler’s age, condition, combustion results, service history or findings during the first level service.
Any additional work is explained and agreed before it is carried out.
A whole system view.
As a Heat Geek trained engineer, Terry takes a wider view of heating efficiency and operation rather than looking at the boiler in isolation.
The boiler, heating controls, system water, operating temperatures and general system performance can all influence efficiency, reliability and comfort. Where appropriate, we also highlight observations about the wider heating system, including controls, operating temperatures, system condition and any obvious performance or efficiency issues. Recommendations can be explained as essential, sensible or optional.
