About Kung Fu Shaolin Nam Pai Chuan
The martial art Shaolin Kung Fu Nam Pai Chuan has been established in the UK since 1979. It is a rich and diverse art incorporating elements of both Northern and Southern styles of Chinese Kung Fu.
The origins lie in the Shaolin style known as 'Fatt Gar Kuen' (or 'Buddhist Fist'), as taught by Cho Si Seh Koh San. Classes involve stretching, body conditioning, blocking, striking and throwing along with chi gung breathing techniques.
The club holds classes that are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced martial artists at The Brighthelm Centre, BN1 1YD (Tuesdays 6. 30-8pm) and at The Sports Centre, The University of Sussex, Falmer, BN1 9RB (Thursdays 6. 30-8pm).
The classes are open to all levels and new students are welcome to turn up and try a free class at anytime.
All the clubs instructors are registered with the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts.
