I joined this club last year, having trained with the (also excellent) FEKM Manchester branch for most of the year. I was a little apprehensive, as you'd expect joining anywhere new, but I was made to feel very welcome right away. Simon is an excellent trainer; very detailed and attentive. My training has improved significantly as a result of becoming a member here. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their fitness, become proficient in self-defence and make a few new friends along the way.
Great balance between warm-up and practical lessons. The teaching structure is very well-thought based on people's needs so you can be sure that even if you miss a lesson you will be able to follow through. Great mix of individuals with different level of abilities so your lesson will always vary based on who you are working with, which reflects more accurately real-life situations. MICHELE.
Was apprehensive the first time I walked in, but I was made to feel welcome immediately which obviously helped me relax. Each session covers different scenarios, all moves are repeated slowly and then gradually sped up when you are confident that you can do them. The time flies by by because you become so engrossed in it. And it also helps you get fit too.
I joined the FEKM club this summer and I haven't looked back since. It's a great way to stay fit. The warm ups are really good at getting you into the Krav Maga mindset and then you're thrown into specific skillsets and techniques. Simon is the perfect teacher with his combination of patience and clear instructions. It's fun, fast and effective!
Great classes at convenient locations and times, instructors are worth giving it a try. Compared to other classes I've done before, there is a big focus on cardio and they cover a wide range of self-defence situations! All explained with great details and even humour.
An extremely well run self defence group with excellent teaching. Multiple sessions running throughout the week, and at different local locations, ensure you're not tied to a particular day and you can attend as few/many as you want. The sessions themselves are practical and combine warm ups, training techniques, sparring and applying what you've learnt. The classes appear to appeal to all types as age, height, fitness and gender does not hinder people from doing any of the activities and people can progress at their own pace. All in all a great workout.
A great bunch of people to train with! Regardless of your level of experience you will feel welcomed and at ease to learn Krav Maga along with everyone. Simon, the instructor, delivers all instructions and demonstrations with detailed clarity, taking you step by step into achieving every move and combination you previously felt were impossible for you to pull off. And all the time during practice you are being helped by the more senior students as well, who guide you through the execution of the moves and its foundational principles.
Simon, Henri and Olo are excellent teachers. This is my second month doing Krav Maga. It is one of the best ways to know your body and mind limits ,get confidence and it's easy to learn. It's hard but you are getting fit and learning at the same time a self defence technique. People there are generally very nice and kind…And think we are kicking each other asses ? .
I have joined the club in January 2019. Simon is a great! I train mostly in the Shoreditch club with Henri, also fantastic teacher, and I feel the improvement at every session. This club is like a family and it is very serious at the same time. Definitely must try if you want to learn the self-defense techniques!
If you are looking for for a friendly atmosphere, to quick to learn fighting and to defend yourself. Than look no further, "Krav Maga Self Defence" south London is for you. I found the instructor in this club very knowledgeable and able to communicate the material in a clear and simple manner that its easy to grasp and to memorise it. I can only say good things.
I started Krav Maga 5 months ago and I absolutely love it. It keeps me fit, gives me self-confidence and on top of it I made some wonderful friends. Simon is an excellent trainer who makes the class tough but fun at the same time. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Krav Maga!
I have been training with Simon and the others for several weeks now. Despite me being very shy about anything to do with a punch or a kick, everyone has been very welcoming. The team has been great, Simon is a great teacher, takes you through scenarios and techniques bit by bit and I feel I've been able to improve at my own rate, which helped me face my own challenges. I could not recommend this club enough. The beginner's training event is a great time to join as it shows exaclty how every training session will be laid out.
I was searching for a good place to start training krav maga again here in London. I have found this school. I been training in Brazil with the South American federation and I was concern about the quality of teachings. This school is the only one that follow the European Federation techniques and is similar to the South America federation. They really follow Imi's legacy.
This is an amazing class! I'm relatively new and from the very beginning I have been made to feel nothing but welcome. The classes are very diverse with different age groups so would fit anyone of any age. Directions are always clear and in this very short time I feel I have learned a lot. All instructors are very approachable and will help guide you when you may not be getting a move correct. If you are looking for a self-defence class or a way to get fit and learn something new then I highly recommend Krav Defence.
