Knockerdown Cottages is the perfect place for a weekend wedding where you can have all your friends and family staying in one location for 3 nights and enjoy the celebrations without having to pack up and rush off in the morning.

A group of traditionally stone built self catered cottages each sleeping between 2 and 11 people are all equipped for individual guests needs so they can relax in their own space.

Nestled amongst the cottages is a central leisure building with games room, indoor heated swimming pool and a function room. Our own little path leads across the road to a traditional country pub serving local beers and home cooked meals. We also have a children's play area and large meadow for games and activities to keep the more active members of your group busy! The surrounding countryside or nearby Carsington reservoir is perfect for a Friday afternoon ramble or quiet Sunday morning walk to clear the head.

We accommodate for almost any wedding - guests will experience a dream wedding unfolding as our team work closely with the wedding party to ensure a perfect celebration is imagined, created and brought to life. From large parties for up to 100 guests with ceremony, catering and reception, to small intimate gatherings with cottage accommodation. We have the space and staff to accommodate for all wedding requirements just the way you both have planned - so they can have a great time while we do all the hard work.

Our team will help to book local suppliers who we recommend for catering, decorating and entertaining needs - allowing for a stress-free, memorable wedding. There are plenty of areas for your guests to enjoy their freedom and admire the views. A ceremony in our plainly decorated Brackendale Room allows for a versatile backdrop where personal touches can be added to reflect a theme. The wedding breakfast can be held inside our events room with live music, fairy lights, table planners and caterers.

The entertainment in our Brackendale Room with DJ and ambient lighting - with a buffet to devour. For parties staying over a weekend, guests will naturally treat Knockerdown Cottages as "home from home"- having the flexibility to come and go from their cottages, visit neighbours, the swimming pool, local attractions and hunt for a secret gate to the country pub!
