Did my cbt on the 4th February 2022 with Nath as my instructor, to learn to ride a 125cc geared bike, was very friendly and professional with everything and never over complicated things, would definitely recommend them. Thankyou Nath and we'll done Bradley too for passing (was on the course with me too). Kind regards, Patrick.
Kevin is a top quality instructor, he helped me through the whole learning process to get the mod 1 and 2 for the A full licence from scratch as I only had minimum experience with a mopet. His patience, knowledge, attention to detail, personalised instruction and the level of intensity of the training sessions made me improve rapidly and efficiently. Very highly recommended!
To be honest I chose KJ's as they were close to where I live. I dropped Kev a voicemail on Christmas Eve expecting to here nothing till after the seasonal break. I had no idea of how or where to start. Kev rang on my way home while I was stuck in traffic and explained fully what, when, where and how I needed to do progress from a complete novice to (at my age) a Class A licence. I gave the information taken in full consideration over the break, with additional detail sent by email from KJ's. The conclusion was simple given the costs and equipment hire available. I began training with a day course for my CBT with Nathan on 13th Jan - fantastic day! I had a full day of bike introduction on whats where, how it works, and what not to do, and how to ride safely. Plenty of riding in a safe area to build my confidence and practice much needed skills. Followed by an afternoon riding on the road and riding to a level good enough to pass the CBT on the same day. A bit of a rush next to find a slot for my Theory Test and pass before I could undertake my big bike training. This was the only bit need to be booked and sorted under my own steam. I was given access to Theory Test Pro by Kev to revise fully for this for general and bike based Highway Code information and access to lots of hazard perception videos. 700 test questions later and may video clips and I was ready to the government theory test. Passed first time after the training. I began my big bike training on 28th Jan with Kev. Loads of information here on how to pass Module 1. Loads driving around cones, weaving, figure of eights and riding at walking pace. The more you listen to Kev here the easier it'll be for you on test day a few days later. Kev gives you all the confidence you need and all the tips to get you through this. Lots of road stuff again in the afternoon, full of critical improvement tips along the road by radio. You lust know you're going to be a better driver and rider with all the tips you're given during the tow days training! Day three of big bike is a brief warm up ride followed by Module 1 Test. Passed first time all down to my training with KJ's. A quick coffee break to talk everything through then off, out on the road again to continue with Module 2 Training on the road. Don't get cocky still loads to learn to get your L -plates off and move from a 125! The following Thursday (6th Feb) was my final test. Again an hour of Mod 2 test riding to warm you up and then to your final test. You will, if you've listened be armed with all the information you need, especially if you watch KJ's YouTube channel too. That's the "Show Me Tell Me" bit of your test - where to check your oil, how a bike changes with a pillion, how to adjust a chain, winter, wet or foggy riding. Its all been given to you during training with all your new riding skills. Honestly, if you fail any part of this its something you've done or not listened too as you will have been given all you need. I even learned how to change brake pads, check tyre pressures, and change bulbs. Lastly, well done Kev and Nathan. I couldn't have hoped to have passed everything first time without you. I am now off to get my first bike, get to know it well and then back to KJ's to get my Advanced Rider Certificate and miss all the traffic jams. Many thanks both. Jools.Moreexpand_more
Recently, as a complete novice, with very little experience of riding a motorcycle, I decided I wanted one and now was the best time to do it as I had a break between studies. I searched on google for bike training that would cater for full a motorcycle license. I came across various schools that seemed ok and were very much accredited but one stood out. Despite being from Coventry, I was sold on the reviews and in addition, the clarity of the website in terms of the package that was suitable for me, a beginner. I did not have any nerves when it came to the CBT part of the training but was excited and enthusiastic, but had I have been, I feel Nathan would have helped put me at ease with his banter and laid back attitude, sound geezer. When it came to the mod 1 and and mod 2 training I was quite anxious yet still enthusiastic. I was a little intimidated because of my preconceptions about larger bikes and the dangers aswel as the added risk of dropping them if you make certain rider errors. I found kevin to be an exemplary teacher - he always spoke in a calm manner and would maintain that calm and clear demeanor throughout my training. I cannot overstate how important it was for me as someone that was anxious and prone to making more errors(in other pressure situations in my life) if I have added external frustration etc. Every mistake that I made, kevin took his time to explain and advise what went wrong, at what point it went wrong and how to improve, again, this was always done in a calm manner which helped me greatly. I could go on forever but I will conclude quickly by letting all prospective learners know, to look no further than Kj's. I passed both modules first time which was of course down to my hard work aswel but I am so happy that I decided to go for KJ's school of Motoring, cheers lads!Moreexpand_more
I had a fantastic experience at KJ's. The instructors were all fantastic giving constant feedback and reassurance. I have never felt so confident going into a test because of the quality of the training and support from the instructors. Kev is an excellent Instructor. He focuses on individual training and teaches you the do's and don't's while riding a motorcycle. Also I was very satisfied with CBT training with Nathan. It was my first time on motorcycle however he shows me all the basics. The training was done professionally in a relaxing environment. Great place to learn, very calm and honest environment. Top notch!Moreexpand_more
The course was excellent, Good value for money, Kev was very calm and friendly and explained things very well, he was very patient even when I dropped his bike twice :) Sorry Kev. The equipment was in very good condition and I had a fantastic time obtaining my full bike license I would highly recommend this riding school to everyone I meet.
