Having done lots of online searching and having visited a couple of other showrooms, we had been struggling to come to a decision about our kitchen; we then discovered Kitchen Matters and were immediately impressed by the showroom and the quality of the Leicht kitchens on display. From our first visit to the showroom, Amol and Vicky were attentive and offered fantastic guidance and advice. Amol is immensely knowledgeable and knows his products inside and out. He and Vicky have a great eye for detail and were able to interpret our requirements and ideas with a creative, yet practical design. The kitchen was part of a small extension project and Kitchen Matters were able to work to our time scales and provided a detailed electrics and plumbing plan for our builder to follow. Ryan’s installation was spot on with all elements fitted with exceptional precision. Throughout the whole process communication was outstanding. Amol was able to respond quickly to our queries and was very ‘hands-on’, even coming on site to oversee the installation. The quality of workmanship, appliances, fitting, and advice were all outstanding. We are absolutely delighted with our kitchen and would whole heartedly recommend Kitchen Matters. .Moreexpand_more
Possibly the worst Customer Service i’ve ever received. When purchasing a new kitchen, it should be an exciting time. It will, for most people, be one of the most expensive purchases made and whilst most will accept it will have its challenges through the build, these can be minimised through good communications throughout. The measure of a good company is not by the mistakes made, but how they resolve them. Unfortunately our experience with Kitchen Matters doesn’t reflect other people’s reviews here. The experience started positively enough, the design stage was handled by Simon Cull. He was helpful and proactive, assisting and responding efficiently. We had gone out to a number of Kitchen Companies that sell Leicht Kitchens, and whilst Kitchen Matters were the most expensive, we really enjoyed dealing with Simon and felt that the difference in costs were justified to work with a designer we could trust. This all changed once we had placed an order and the project was transferred to Amol for the build stage. During the lead up to the project starting, communications from Amol were curt, short, with no formalities, which would explain the standard line of ‘Apologies for the brevity and any typos’. This is fine in some situations but felt that apologies were made in advance to justify the blunt reply. Still, at this stage, it wasn’t too much of an issue. The main issue came on the day the kitchen was due to be fitted. The utility room dimensions were incorrect, mistakes can happen, but smaller units were required to fit within the space. Amol decided, without any discussion, that he would leave the utility room for 4-6 weeks whilst the replacement units came from Germany. We explained that this would leave us with no means of drinkable water (a water softener had just been fitted) for our young family as the kitchen was being templated. Amol was adamant that to fit the utility room piecemeal would create issues with the build and should not be carried out in this way (I’d already spoken to his kitchen fitter who didn’t see any issues doing this and he had also suggested the same). After a few e-mail exchanges with Amol, it was the kitchen fitter who told me that they would fit as much of the utility room as possible as originally requested. Our builder had to fit a temporary tap in the kitchen so we had water available – Kitchen Matters didn’t see this as their issue or offer any solution. The kitchen and utility were eventually finished a month later than planned. The standard of the finish, as you would expect with Leicht, was exceptional, and the Kitchen fitters were very professional. The situation would have been a lot worse if it wasn’t for them. When the final invoice arrived for the outstanding balance, I queried the remaining value. The invoice included for significantly larger units and associated worktop, even though smaller units had been fitted. I questioned why we were being charged for goods not received and the invoice should be amended to reflect the units installed. Amol’s response was that ‘The marginal difference between the units was probably about £100-£125. I haven’t worked this out. We work on the basis that these jobs work in swings and roundabouts and we have absorbed costs that we needn’t have as a matter of goodwill. ’ And that ‘it would be in everyone’s interest that the final outstanding balance is settled’. No other costs had been absorbed by Kitchen Matters other than for removing the waste packaging in the utility room as the skip we ordered had now been returned due to the delay in installation and there was certainly no goodwill. Amol advised if I wanted to see the build-up he would provide it. Once this had been demonstrated, I would pay outstanding amount. 1 year on this has still not been provided despite a number of (ongoing) requests. Unsurprisingly, Amol now ignores any e-mails to try and resolve the outstanding issues which have been sent over the last year. Kitchen Matters have failed to carry out any defective work during the warranty period or rectify our issues. Most concerning, is that the induction hob supplied has had several faults, the latest error message being that it needs to be disconnected from the electrics. Amol has been advised of this, but still refuses to reply and is quite happy to leave a family with a potentially dangerous hob. Kitchen Matters will undoubtably defend their position by claiming we were either a difficult customer, a disgruntled ex-employee or work for a rival kitchen company (and yes, it will be on multiple review sites) but should anyone wish to see the e-mail communications (all documented over 12 months) I’d be happy to share them. Leicht make beautiful kitchens, there is no question about that, and I’m sure others have had a positive experiences with Kitchen Matters, but when things don’t go to plan, and when you need the a company to do everything they can to make a difficult situation bearable, their only interest is in self-preservation and saving a few pounds.Moreexpand_more
We visited a number of potential suppliers as part of our research and selected Kitchen Matters based upon both our initial meeting with Amol and also the excellent feedback we identified on social media from previous kitchen installations. Amol was both helpful and patient as we went through our selection process, which involved numerous changes of mind before we landed on our final decision. One of the things that impressed me about Kitchen Matters was that prior to starting the work, Amol set out a week by week timetable of what would happen and when and who would do the different stages of the work…. The kitchen was finished on exactly the day set out at the start of the project and this was a big job that involved removing an existing kitchen and tiled floor, fitting underfloor heating, re-tiling the floor, installing a bulk-head in the roof and finally fitting the kitchen, so hitting the timetable to the day was no mean feat. The other thing that was very impressive was the quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail. Amol used tried and trusted tradesmen and it shows, he also made regular trips to our house to check on progress. The tradesmen were a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much trouble, they were happy to accommodate tweaks to the design throughout the process and came up with several suggested improvements as we went along that we agreed with and following fitting we haven't found a single issue that needed snagging. The end result is an outstanding kitchen that the whole family are delighted with. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
After extensive building work to our property, we were relieved when Amol and his team arrived to install our new kitchen, as we were confident that this aspect of our renovation would be completed with precision and professionalism. We certainly were not disappointed, every detail of our design was brought to life by Amol's highly skilled fitters. Amol visited every morning to check on the progress and ensure that we were satisfied with the kitchen as it developed. The kitchen has transformed our family times as we now have an inspiring kitchen to cook in and a wonderful space for entertaining in too. Every visitor to our house has been amazed by the high standard of the kitchen and they also love the finishing touches especially the lighting. We would not hesitate to recommend Amol and his team to anyone who is searching for a company to design and create their dream kitchen.
From start to finish Kitchen Matters provided excellent customer service. They took time with the design process and made us think completely differently about the space we had. We had a fairly tight budget and were upfront about that and the design provided was aimed at meeting that. The kitchen we have bought looks beautiful and is excellent quality. There were no problems during the process with the deliveries turning up exactly on time and our builder having no trouble fitting it. Kitchen Matters kept in touch with us all the way through and I would thoroughly recommend them.
Kitchen Matters designed, planned and installed our kitchen and from the start you felt as if you were in safe hands! No detail was too small and all the work was co-ordinated by Amol/Vicky - the benefit of working with a small team who know your design inside out. The work was completed exactly on time and on budget. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend Kitchen Matters.
We had been to a couple of other kitchen designers/fitters in Mk but had not felt they had understood what we were trying to achieve. Amol was able to immediately grasp the best way forward and his designs were different and much improved on what we are ourselves had initially proposed. It soon became apparent that Amol had a top notch team working with him, all of whom worked closely together in a highly co-ordinated manner. All of the different people who worked on the project were punctual, dedicated and highly skilled - and a very nice group of people too. In short everybody did what they promised and with Amol popping in on a regular basis to check progress it was as easy as a job of this size can get. The end result, is that thanks to Amol and his team we have a stunning new kitchen of the highest fit and finish. The levels of skill, commitment and integrity were of the highest order throughout from all concerned. We would not hesitate to recommend Amol and his team to others - we will certainly be using Amol and his team again when we get round to replacing our bathroom. A big thank you from both of us.
We wanted new kitchen but with good track record of the company and we looked around and they were all trying to sell, sell and sell. Luckily we found Kitchen Matters and to our surprise, that is exactly what we were looking for. They are not pushy at all and they understand the needs and requirements. They were going to start the job in February, the day it snowed quite heavily, and I assumed that no one will turn up, but they are so professional and punctual the job did start on the day it was promised. The whole team was brilliant as everyone was doing their stuff on different days and there were no communication gap between them. (Thanks Gary, Ryan, Charlie, Paul, Pete) Amol was keeping a very close eye on the whole project. They finished the job to our satisfaction and they do understand the designing and practicality of the whole job. We have no reservation in recommending them to others. Rajesh.
We appointed Kitchen Matters to work with us, on the design and installation of our much desired minimalist kitchen. Much to our delight, Amol is a stickler for detail. This coupled with Amols vast knowledge of the Leicht system and his knowledge of kitchen appliances is extremely impressive. This enabled us to achieve everything we desired, within our budget! The kitchen was part of a large scale bespoke house build project and communication was key. Kitchen Matters worked brilliantly with everyone, providing relevant information to different trades. The Kitchen was installed by Kitchen Matters without a hitch and bang on time. From start to finish, the experience was an enjoyable one. I would Highly recommended Kitchen Matters.
Thanks to Amol and Vicky, the finished result is superb, and exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the help and guidance given by them whilst we went through the many variations of the design, before we arrived at the final one. We would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a high quality kitchen design and implementation to use Kitchen Matters.
We had a new kitchen from Kitchen Matters fitted in November 2014 and am delighted with the kitchen and the service we received. Amol and Victoria greatly improved upon the layout we were initially thinking of and were very patient in helping us choose appliances, worktops, colours, etc. They have a great showroom in Oldbrook with many of the options on display. The installation service was flawless. Plasterers, fitters, electricians, plumbers were all very professional, on time and kept to the strict schedule that Amol had set - several of them mentioned that Amol is very demanding and doesn't accept anything that is less than perfect, and that is certainly what we experienced. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Kitchen Matters.
Having spent hours with a Wren consultant designing a Linda Barker kitchen we were surprised it didn't feel like good value. We went to Kitchen Matters on the recommendation of a friend. The process was so much easier, Amol really helped us put together a great design that met all our needs (including ones we hadn't thought about) and at a price that was competitive with a premium end Wren kitchen. The kitchen was put in on time by skilled and friendly fitters and we are very happy with the end result.
I got in touch with Amol through a forum when I saw that he was repeatedly giving out sensible advice to those that asked about kitchen cabinets and design. I’m glad I did! The design process was painless, the cost was competitive (we’d been to a lot of kitchen showrooms before working with Amol and had had some truly ridiculous quotes), the product was pure quality and the installation was professional and mess free. I cannot recommend Amol’s business highly enough. Our kitchen is now exactly how we wanted it. Stop reading this and go and see him!
Amol was great at advising on how to get the best from the light and space available. He was creative in his suggestions as to how to give the kitchen the wow factor. The kitchen fitters were very diligent and tidy in their approach and clearly had a great pride in delivering an excellent all round product. We are delighted with the final product and would highly recommend Amol and the team to others who are considering a new kitchen.
My wife has always wanted a perfect kitchen and I believe that Kitchen Matters have met our expectations. They have designed a perfect kitchen for us which meant that we had to take down one of the walls and merge two rooms into one. This was a really good idea as we now have a massive kitchen which is full of natural light and has a wonderful view into our garden. I believe that both me and my wife are quite picky and often quite indecisive. Both Amol and Vicky have been very patient and professional with us, they have given us all the available options, told us everything about appliances, taps, work tops, units and most importantly at no point they have put any pressure upon us, so this has been a long, but stress free journey. Once the fitting date was agreed, we were waiting with anticipation for the day to come. There were three fitters on site. All of them very professional, polite and punctual. 95% of the kitchen was fitted within first two days and I was really impressed by how well it was fitted. There were few really minor issues that I wanted to address (me being picky). Kitchen Matters have sent back their fitters within short period of time and all the issues have been addressed. This has been a great experience. Both me and my wife are delighted with the end result and we thank Kitchen Matters for their hard work.Moreexpand_more
Amol clearly has a very good eye for design. We felt he really listened to our wishes and made some very good suggestions. Our kitchen looks fantastic, everything we would have wanted. Not only very chic but also practical with a family! We would definitely recommend Kitchen Matters to others.
We needed ideas and advice when planning our new kitchen and Kitchen Matters fitted the bill perfectly. We wanted to knock a separate kitchen and dining room into one and Amol and Vicky came up with a design that met our brief perfectly. Amol co-ordinated everything from the builders, electricians, plumbers, plasterers and of course the kitchen fitters and everything ran perfectly to time. We were given a timescale of 4 weeks and that's just what it was. Amol has an excellent team of tradesmen that he works with and everyone was punctual, professional and were very nice people. All the work was carried out to a very high standard and we are thrilled with the result. The kitchen is fabulous and looks exactly as the print-out Amol gave us when he designed the kitchen. We really do have the 'WOW' kitchen we wanted. We would not hesitate in recommending Kitchen Matters to anyone.Moreexpand_more
Kitchen Matters were always helpful and professional during the design stage and we went back and forth a few times with changes meaning they spent a lot of time making sure we had exactly what we wanted. The price was compelling versus competitors and the whole process was handled efficiently with very prompt service. Most importantly, the end product was exactly as we could have wished. Would definitely recommend.
We have just finished our kitchen and I would highly recommend everyone to use Kitchen Matters. First meeting we had with Amol and his staff was great, I left the showroom feeling very excited and I knew that Kitchen Matters is the company I would like to have my kitchen designed and installed by. I was even more excited when I saw my kitchen designs for the first time. They were exactly what I was imagined my kitchen to be and more. The product is great, high quality and looks fab. We had one issue with the worktops (not a KM fault) the level of care we have received from Amol to get this resolved was outstanding. After only a couple of days delay our kitchen is done and I can’t wait to start using it. Thank you all at Kitchen Matter for level of care we have received. Regards.Jitka Cook. PS: Please keep in touch and when your bathroom range is up and running I would love to be first in line ☺.Moreexpand_more
