This hotel is the best option for a relaxing and enjoyable night's stay if you're looking for peace. My experience at this hotel was highly commendable; the staff is attentive and helpful, the facility is clean, and the rates are competitive; as a result, I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
John and Val run a very friendly service which makes you feel as if you are at home rather than in a guest house. The rooms are lovely and the bed gave a great sleep. We had a long journey from London and were late but still received a no-hassles greeting and were made to feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The breakfast is worth getting up for even if you have a hangover! Staff always on hand to help, we thoroughly recommend Kirk-Lea and wil definately return. Thanks John & Val from Steve and Lucy.
One of the most pleasant places i have stopped at, Pat went behond her duties to make me feel so welcomed. Both Pat and Frank were the kindest sweetest people i have met in a B and B . Will recomand it to anyone who will be stopping in Halifax. Janet Sykes Ontario Canada.
What a find, after years of staying in local hotels I found this B&B through an internet search. So very clean and friendly, Pat cooks a fantastic breakfast too! I will not stay anywhere else in Halifax. The rooms do need redecoration, but the place is spotlessly clean. A real pleasure, which for me - has made working away from my family - so much more enjoyable, as I can relax in genuinely clean surroundings - which cannot be said for many of the well known hotel chains. And much cheaper too! Thank you Pat!
Was greeted by a friendly face after a long day, even though it was late when we arrived. Pat & Frank made my gf N i welcome and were very helpful. The rooms are clean and had everything we needed. Appreciated the early morning coffee fix and having somewhere to lock my bike up too! Tahnks and good luck with the future, hope to see you again,Diane Mills.
