Excellent time keeping. Worked very hard cleaning my bathroom. They cleaned the grout around the tiles , they were polished and gleaming The batroom suite and toilet and floors were very good. They also went the extra mile and cleaned the en-suite. , shower toilet and hand basin all within 2 hours. I am very pleased and thankyou.
I highly recommend Kingsmaid’s professional cleaning service. The house is sparkling when we get home from work. It is good value for money, if you factor in the staff on-costs, including tax and pensions. Also, if your regular cleaner is unwell then they will send a replacement. The team bring their own equipment and cleaning materials which does save us money on buying cleaning products. The staff are professional, but have bonded with our neurotic greyhound. They follow my cleaning requests to the letter. I have had regular cleans, deep cleans (after building work) and there is no penalty if you want to suspend the service for holidays. Excellent cleaning standards and lovely people. I have used Kingsmaid for years as a regular customer and also for houses that I rent out for one off end of tenancy cleans. I have also used their carpet and oven service and they too are excellent. I first used Kingsmaid to remedy a bad clean from another company, Kingsmaid did what the other one should have straight away! I would (and have) recommend them, they always do as promised and are helpful and hardworking.
To those considering Kingsmaid - I say stay away! Look elsewhere for an end of tennancy clean the service provided I poor value for money. I was provided with a poor clean and poor after service. I spoke with the operations manager who could not offer me a suitable remedy to address the issues which Kingsmaid, having had sight of photos, accepted the level of oven clean was not good enough. I was offered for the cleaner to return to the property to clean the oven, a key component of our request and the main reason for instructing a profession cleaner. The time window offered did not meet with my availability with the original clean taking place on a Monday and tennancy ending the same Thursday. I was unable to secure any refund despite having had to return back the property myself at great inconvenience and expense to remedy the issue I had. I requested a refund of £50 (less than 50%). It is not their policy to offer any refund even when they accept that they have done a sub standard job. BUYER BEWARE!Look elsewhere - and if for whatever reason you so not heed my advice - be very careful with the level of clean offered and booked as I am firmly of the opinion that I was thoroughly misled and now my pockets are lighter for it.Moreexpand_more
I booked for deep cleaning of the house. The two ladys were there to waste the time. Didn't do any job properly. Waste of time and money. When rang twice and they said that they will ring me back with some solution but never rang. AVOID THEM! RIP OFF AND NO COSTUMER SERVICE.
I was a regular customer having a full clean each week from kingsmaid until their levels of service deteriorated. The cleans became distinctly average, the unreliable service meant that on several occasions cleans were cancelled with no notice (the company is aware that this happened) and then to cap it all when I announced my intention to leave them because of the poor service they failed to safely return my keys. I requested several times that the keys be returned by recorded delivery and was repeatedly told that would not be possible. I then said post them but if they go missing I will charge you for any work needed to rectify our security situation. The keys never arrived with me and you have failed to provide proof of posting. I have no idea if they were posted or stolen. You appear utterly blasé as to what has happened to my keys.
Yet another fantastic clean from Kingsmaid today. After a hectic weekend and children's party after school last night the house was a bit of a mess today. (I couldn't face it last night! ) Just got home from work to find the chaos that I left this morning has now disappeared! Not a trace of jelly, party poppers or silly string left! The Kingsmaid ladies must have worked really hard to get all that done and the rest of the house as well. All looks lovely and couldn't be more pleased.
We arranged a one-off clean prior to letting our house. We were overcharged initially and had to make contact twice to chase the refund and ultimately received it in the form of a cheque which was inconvenient. We had to chase up the return of our keys too. The house was in pretty good condition prior to the clean so the fact that there were still visible stains in the kitchen and cobwebs/dust on the floors after 10 hours of cleaning was very disappointing. Kingsmaid are certainly not the cheapest and the quality of the clean fell well below what we would have expected. -Edit in response to Kingsmaid's comments below: we certainly did not book a 12-hour clean and subsequently change our minds - it was always a 10-hour booking, which reflected the amount of work that needed to be done. Kingsmaid's telephone operator charged us for a 12 hour clean in error and it was only after contacting Kingsmaid twice that we received a refund for the difference. Why this was issued as a cheque rather than refunded to the card that we originally paid on was not made clear. As for the 10 hours being insufficient, it baffles me as to what was done during this time - as I write above, the house had been in a pretty good state prior to the clean and yet some fairly obvious stains had been left on the kitchen tops and floor. As this was one of the "priority areas" I'm not sure how these were missed.I did not ask for our keys to be returned to your office. The arrangement was always for them to be returned by post - something that I again had to chase up on two occasions before receiving them.Given the really rather poor communication we experienced, I'm sure you'll understand that we would rather draw a line under our association with Kingsmaid rather than enter into another round of ignored emails/delayed replies. This review was entered to serve as an accurate account of our experience for the benefit of other potential customers. I note that the majority of your reviews here are positive - perhaps we were just unlucky but I have to say that four members of our family saw the house both before and after the clean and the consensus of opinion was "we don't know what you've paid for here".Moreexpand_more
Thank you Kingsmaid for the clean you did at my parents house. They are elderly and quite vulnerable, I was really concerned about getting 'strangers' in to clean their house but as I don't live locally there really wasn't any other option. I was quite shocked by the state of their house when I last visited and decided I had to do something, despite their protestations that they didn't need help. A neighbour recommended Kingsmaid so I thought I'd give them a go whilst I was around to see what the service was like. The lady on the phone - Sue I think? Was lovely, very reassuring. The ladies that came to clean the house did a great job, worked miracles really. They were great with mum and dad and they felt really comfortable having them there. They now have a regular service, which gives me peace of mind when I can't visit and mum.And dad are happy with it too.Moreexpand_more
Odd that a four star review appeared within minutes of my ONE STAR review was put up but none have arrived in the days since! This paragraph is a reply to the Company Response. My initial entry is the paragraph below. I had to deal with the stroppy Kingsmaid's office to try to rearrange the day as our aged dad was rushed into hospital. Kingsmaid couldn't have been less helpful. A co. That puts customers above money would have found a way that we could both have been happy. The way they have responded to my review shows them in their true light - they want money first. Busy cos. Have lots of work waiting to be done; saying they had "no possibility of filling the space" rings alarm bells for future customers: that they don't have loads of work waiting says a lot about their service. Our experience is that their service is awful…how long my review stayed as the latest one may give us all a clue about how this terrible company behave. Poor staff attitude, poor customer handling, complete lack of care, lousy cleaning. Take your business elsewhere. 17 Aug 2016Asked for a deep clean for my 85 year old father's house as he was returning home after the property being rented out. Booked and fully paid up front £215 for 12 cleaning hours, and specified the priority areas to be cleaned. Cleaners due on Mon, but dad taken into hospital the Fri evening. No out of hours contact to get in touch to postpone, so emailed explaining the position. I phoned Mon morning, they hadn't picked up the email. To postpone was going to cost me a forfeit of 70 per cent! Explained the situation, but no go despite my having contacted them as soon as I could. Had to scramble round to try and sort an alternative way of allowing entry. Cleaning left a lot to be desired, kitchen cupboards left dirty and greasy, dishwasher left a health hazard and very hard to see where the 12 hours cleaning was spent. Some of what I'd asked to be done had certainly been shown a cleaning cloth, but overall, very, very poor. Certainly don't get taken ill and need to postpone. Chr. 15 Aug 2016.Moreexpand_more
We have a regular team with Kingsmaid who know exactly what we want and need no supervision from us at all other than an occasional request to concentrate on certain areas, Our team are good and know our requirement and I am confident they just get on with the job.
Wow! 5 star service all round. This was my first time and exceeded my expectations, and made my day. I'm so pleased I chose Kingsmaid. Michelle and Sharon arrived on time, and after a short discussion on what were my priorities, they knew exactly what to do and got on with it. The bedrooms and bathrooms were done to 5* Hotel standard. Kingsmaid are very professional yet friendly and helpful. It was so easy to book and pay over the phone too. It's reassuring to know that each time I can prioritise different rooms for a thorough clean and others for just a quick clean. I'm looking forward to next time, and wish I'd done this months ago.
