We used JPS to undertake some work on our home. It consisted of completing an extension and knocking down 2 internal load bearing walls to create an open plan kitchen/diner/seating area. Once the construction work had been undertaken JPS also fitted the new kitchen that we had chosen. The cost of fitting the kitchen was cheaper than using a kitchen retailers fitters. Jon’s communication throughout the build was excellent his customer service and project management skills are rare for a building firm. There were a few bumps through the process as you would expect for a building project but in the end things were resolved and Jon was active in getting things sorted and correcting the team onto the right course when needed. Jon is a builder who you can trust with your building project or home renovation, we would not hesitate in recommending JPS, we are very happy with our extension/renovation. Thank you Jon and Team .

Delighted with our extension and JPS made things as stress-free as it was possible to be. We had a clear idea of what we wanted prior to our first meeting, and Jon supplemented our plans rather than try to alter things (which we encountered with other builders). The whole crew were punctual, polite and as unobtrusive as possible, and we would thoroughly recommend them.

After being recommended to us I met with Jon Sainsbury on a number of occasions to discuss our project, during these meetings he was not only very enthusiastic to take the job on (others were less so), but more importantly he gave me confidence he would deliver what he promised all within a fixed price. The project in the main ran very well, inevitably there were a few unseen bumps in the road along the way, however at these moments Jon was always at hand, nothing was too much too trouble, he offered solutions, managed all parties and was particularly good with the neighbours remaining very client focussed throughout. Its worth commenting Jon was very keen to ensure the property was kept as tidy as possible at the end of each day. Key to it all was knowing Jon was always at hand day or night - offering reassurance, advice, ideas and 'kicking arse' when he needed to. We're delighted with the job he did and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his team - cheers Jon!

JPS handled the restoration and renovation of our dormer loft conversion fantastically. Jon and his team worked to a very high standard and we were extremely pleased with the outcome and the timeframe for the work. One thing that really stood out was the level of customer care by the team; Jon was always available to answer any queries and to ensure we were happy with the progress of the work. He was friendly, helpful and honest. We would absolutely recommend JPS to anyone who needs similar work carried out, and they will be our first choice again if we need any more work done in future.

Jon and his team knocked through a load bearing wall in the living room, removed old decking and replaced with a patio and cleared part of the garden and erected a shed. Jon and his team were polite, friendly and reliable. They worked very quickly but to a very high standard and the house was left as clean as possible at the end of each day, which was particularly important as we have a toddler. They even carried out extra odd jobs for us while on site. Jon was an excellent communicator and we knew exactly what was happening. All work was carried out to budget and in line with building regs. The quote was very reasonable. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely use in future if we have any other work.

Jon and his team removed a dangerously decayed deck and wooden retaining wall in the garden and built a new breeze block retaining wall and raised deck. The works have been completed to a very high standard, all the workmen involved were friendly and polite, they turned up when promised, delivered what was promised and cleaned up after themselves as promised. Jon especially has been really good at communicating- he’s always available and sorted the handful of inevitable teething problems very quickly.

I’d like to start with the communication with Jon “the boss”……. Prompt, friendly, efficient, helpful, accommodating …. All positive obviously! His roofers came round to assess and carry out work on the ‘valley’ and replace front elevation soffit and facia, treated snack boards, and fit new pvc facia and soffit. All rubble was cleared away and ground brushed clean before they went and they were professional and very friendly at all times. Thank you Jon and team.

JPS carried out a variety of jobs for us - kitchen renovation ; roofing works and new steps and we’re delighted with the results. Great to have a builder do exactly what they promised to do, when they promised to do it. Jon’s communication really is exceptional - quickly responded with help and advice, was on site personally at the start of each phase and at intervals afterwards to check progress and ensure we were well informed and content. Our experience of the JPS team was entirely positive and we would be more than happy to have them back for any future projects. Very happy indeed to recommend them.

Jon and the JPS team completed a single storey extension on our Victorian terraced home. Jon recommended Gareth, our chosen architect and from there they helped us realise our dream kitchen/ diner. Jon worked very closely with us planning and explaining each stage of the build and kept close communication with text/emails/face to face meetings which helped manage our anxiety levels. He advised on products/ quality appliances etc which helped guide us during the build. Jon also worked very closely with our neighbours ensuring any concerns were addressed along the way - this was extremely important to us. In fact, neighbours not directly affected by the build even commented how respectful the team were during the build. The team also restored our garden when the build was finished which was greatly appreciated. We now have a beautiful kitchen/ diner which were are now enjoying and have already recommended Jon and his team to friends and colleagues. Very professional service from quote to after sales. Jon turned up early to quote when most other companies either didn’t turn up or were late, and the work carried out was to a very high standard, and they even came back and helped fixed a storage rack to one of our new doors! We’re looking forward to booking in some more jobs with them!

Jps builders has just finished an extention and patio to my property. I couldnt fault his workmanship through out. Always there with suggestions when problems arose and were put right to our satisfaction. Jon and his team were very professional from start to completion. David and Iuan did a great job in constructing some new decking, including working through some wet weather, the job was completed ahead of schedule and to a high standard. Only minor issue was that the handrail to the steps from the back door was omitted from the original plan but the final price was adjusted accordingly. Otherwise no problems!

Jon and the team built two decking spaces for us. Jon gave us a date for the work to be carried out and the the team turned up on that day. The work was carried out efficiently. The team were polite (even the neighbours commented) and reliable. Jon thought up some innovative ideas for the steps for the decking and when I felt that the decking was a little too high, the team changed this for me with no quibbles. We are really pleased with the results and overall the quality is very good. We would definitely use JPS Carpenters and Builders again.

Jon and his company recently undertook a complete internal renovation (including windows) of a three-storey house. The place is unrecognisable now. Excellent build quality, great finishing, superb attention to detail, especially with lighting. Throughout the process Jon was helpful and communicative, quickly solving unexpected problems and dealing straight away with changes of plan. Also the site remained clean and tidy throughout and his team were all nice, decent blokes. Recommended very highly.

I highly recommend this building company. We have recently had an extra room built in our waiting room. As we are a doctor's surgery Jon arranged for the work to be carried out on a weekend to avoid disruption for the patients. The work has been done to a high standard and finished quickly. I have also used the company for other maintenance work eg. Guttering which was also sorted out very quickly and efficiently. I will be definetly using the company in the future for any work needed at the surgery.

JPS undertook an extension of my kitchen into my garage. A small number of unforeseen issues arose during the works. Jon was very helpful in suggestions as to how the issues could be constructively addressed whilst ensuring that costs were kept as low as possible. I've never had any building work done before. Whilst the experience was at times stressful, Jon was able to reassure me and offer constructive advice. He was also always available by phone, text or email and this flow of communication was much appreciated. The team worked well and together and the work was completed on time. A very small number of final issues were satisfactorily dealt with. We have used this company several times for building work and renovations. This time it was for some custom cupboards and shelving for a home office. From start to finish, the work was undertaken in a timely and extremely professional manner. All members of the team were reliable, did a great job, and even tidied up after themselves! The work was completed to a high standard and the final result is both practical, robust and visually attractive. The work represent excellent value for money and we definitely will be using this company again in the future.

Maintenance for a grade 1 listed building, which has been converted into offices, on Cathedral Road. Sympathetic to Council, and Listing Rules and Regulations. Always easy to get hold of, very quick to respond to emergencies, efficient in their manner, and most importantly, polite, friendly and professional at all times. A great asset to have in your arsenal of contacts!

We have had JPS build us a garage, feather edge the property and put together a really strong gate to close it all off. Jon and the team were amazing the whole time, very friendly bunch and even starting a little later than they wanted due to my other half being pregnant and sleep deprived. Couldn't ask for a more thorough, professional and friendly service. Recently we had a neighbour damage the fence, Jon was out the next day as he was working in the area and fixed it within an hour. I wouldn't go anywhere else for any building work.
